Neudorf-Süd: Senior citizen flees after rear-end collision – witnesses sought

On Monday afternoon (August 21, 12:45 p.m.), a previously unknown female driver rear-ended a motorcycle that was waiting at a red light at the intersection of Koloniestraße and Sternbuschweg.

After the traffic light turned green again, the 59-year-old Harley-Davidson rider wanted to continue his journey towards Duisburg-Wedau when he felt a jolt from behind and crashed. After pushing his motorcycle off the road and turning around, he saw a yellow/gold SUV behind him, driven by an elderly woman who was holding her hand over her mouth in shock.

Because the 59-year-old initially assumed that he had stalled his motorcycle and fallen without any outside influence, he drove home and only then noticed that his Harley had fresh damage to the rear. The Duisburg resident then went to the police station in Buchholz and filed a report.

The Duisburg police are therefore looking for witnesses who observed the accident or can provide information about the driver who fled the scene. Anyone with information should contact Traffic Division 22 at 0203 2800.
