New custom parts from Rick`s Motorcycles for the Harley-Davidson FXDR 114

The new sporty Harley-Davidson FXDR 114 was presented in September 2018, it is also known as the Destroyer and will be on our roads as a V-Rod replacement in the future.

The expense of individual engine concepts that pass our current emission laws cannot be economically realized for the traditional company and so the high-torque 114cui V2 engine with over 1.8L displacement was installed in the new Softail frame without further ado.

In the first few weeks, the eye-catching design of the FXDR 114 caused a lot of discussion. It was the same with the V-Rod when it first came onto the market.

It only appealed to a small target group and the curve really only went downwards until the Night-Rod later sharpened the appearance of the noticeably V-Rod and the customizers discovered it for themselves.

Anyone who knows the conversions of NLC knows what I am talking about, at some point the curve went steeply upwards again, suddenly the V-Rod was the ideal bike for conversions, which meant that the prices also rose again.

By the time they finally phased out the new Euro standards, some Harley-Davidson dealerships still had a few on hold with one-day registrations that were slowly being sold off.

Everything has come to an end and now the FXDR 114 is on the road, for custom parts manufacturers it is a clear message that parts are needed here.

Apart from its high starting price, the FXDR 114 is already very well suited for good conversions, and I'm sure we'll be seeing more from some customizers in the coming months.

Rick's Motorycycles has been busy and already has the first parts for the FXDR 114 in its program. Starting with brackets for indicators from Kellermann, this gives you the opportunity to start small, visually the small Kellermann indicators in any case.

If you want to give your FXDR 114 a few discreet indicators, you face the challenge of fitting them properly and professionally. Rick's has developed brackets for this purpose, with which the original Kellermann indicators can be fitted without any problems.

The bracket is optimized for the Kellermann Atto and / or Rhombus indicators and fits perfectly to the mounting points of the standard brackets.

The holders, which are milled from a solid piece, are available with a matt black coating and are supplied in pairs.

The rear indicators on the FXDR can be easily replaced with much smaller ones. Rick's has developed a bracket specially designed for the Rhombus 3 in 1 from Kellermann.

While the Kellermann indicators can be approved anyway thanks to the E-mark, the Rick's bracket can be used to mount the position of the reflector and blinker in accordance with the approval regulations.

Rick's offers this holder including reflector, optionally in a short version (not TÜV-compliant) and in a longer, approvable version. The housing was milled from solid aluminum.

The stainless steel bracket and housing are supplied with a matt black coating, and the scope of delivery includes both the adapter for mounting in accordance with the approval requirements and the short adapter for all non-EU countries.

If you want to free the rear of the series FXDR 114 from the dominant bracket, you have to mount the license plate differently. Rick's has developed a particularly beautiful, milled license plate holder for this purpose.

The bracket is milled from solid aluminum and perfectly matches the look of the FXDR 114. The bracket has been designed in accordance with EU approval regulations and should therefore not give rise to any complaints throughout the EU.

The scope of delivery also includes Rick's milled base plate with license plate illumination. This can be easily screwed to the holder.

The milled cable ducts allow the necessary connection cables to be laid neatly and out of sight behind the license plate, and the surface is supplied with a matt black coating.

Rick's Motorcycles has designed a belt cover especially for the Harley-Davidson FXDR 114, which has a much more appealing look. Rick's belt cover is made of stainless steel and comes with a black matt coating.

No changes to the standard swingarm or the mounts are required for installation.

If you want to give the FXDR 114 a slimmer rear end, the first thing to do is to remove the bars and wheel cover. Rick's has developed a steel mudguard that fits perfectly to the radii of the tire and yet can be kept much tighter.

The smooth look is also achieved by additional reinforcement of the end edge.

The existing mounting points on the bike are used to mount the Rick's mudguard, so no modifications are necessary.

Rick's also offers an optional, approvable bracket for mounting indicators and rear lights, as well as a matching side license plate holder.
