First information on the 2023 Pan America model year is now available!

Directly at the market launch Harley-Davidson own Pan America Accessories introduced. The Pan America Adventure Bike from Harley-Davidson has been on the market since 2021. There are certainly some new customers from the Yamaha camp, because it doesn't look like Yamaha will place a 1200 Supertenere in Germany at the moment and those who want displacement with plenty of power have the Pan America definitely on the shortlist.

In addition, many Harley-Davidson dealers, salespeople and employees are electrified and after Harley-Davidson delivered the quickshifter for many other interested parties in model year 2022, it was hard to get one for the time being. By September, the situation had returned to normal and anyone who wants one now will almost certainly be able to get one from their authorized Harley dealer.

Pan America has not been spared from teething troubles

In terms of teething troubles, it was a bit strange, of course, there is always something and basically you can find that with every manufacturer. Pan America had software problems with some models, so whoever was affected really had a problem. If it had been a component, the matter would have been clear very quickly, but with software it gets complicated if it only affects individual models and everyone is actually supplied with the same software.

One solution is to give the software time to load everything before starting the engine. If you are too hectic, you may find that the system is not fully loaded and if it starts at all, a warning light comes on. I had this problem once when I was still in the learning phase, but it was quickly resolved with a restart. You have a 2-year manufacturer's warranty and a 2-year follow-up warranty.

Harley-Davidson Pan America 2023

According to previous information, there will be no changes to the Pan America next year, according to Harleysite information, there is more likely to be another price increase for the Pan America 2023.

In the spring, I already reported on the leak of the Pan America 975 and 975S, which appeared in the online accessories catalog, where they have since disappeared again. The 975 Revolution Max for the Pan America was already expected in Germany this year, but according to the latest information on the grapevine, there will be no smaller engine variant on the German market in 2023 either.

This is particularly annoying for interested bikers with a small driver's license. They will probably have to convert a Sportster Nightster into an Enduro.

The other Pan America accessories suppliers

It has to be said that some renowned companies have jumped on the Pan America bandwagon. Hepco & Becker has long been known for its luggage systems and also has a range of accessories for the Pan America.

This includes an aluminum side stand plate, the enlarged footprint is particularly suitable for off-road use or soft ground. There is also a powder-coated handle guard made of solid tubular steel for tough use, which is mounted in front of the standard handle guard. A stainless steel heat protection plate and, of course, various luggage carrier systems for the Pan America.

So they have more on offer than you might think at first glance. You just need to know what you want and then look at the item to see if it fits.

TOURATECH - Professional for luggage systems

TOURATECH currently has around 27 parts for the Pan America in its accessories range if you use the direct search function. Unfortunately, the Pan America has not yet made it onto the TOURATECH homepage, so you have to make your selection a little less conveniently in the box and choose the model you want from the various Harley-Davidson models. „RA 1250 Pan America“ to get to the desired parts. That's already a big minus!

The seat benches also look well thought out, the original one is good, but you want more comfort on long journeys. Depending on your height, the handlebar risers are a good investment, if your hands fall asleep, they change the pressure point on your hands, as long as the problem does not come from the seat, the higher raisers help.
