JOAN PEDRERO TO COMPETE ON HARLEY-DAVIDSON AGAIN IN THE AFRICA ECO RACE
In 2025, the Spaniard will once again be on the road for the US brand, following in the footsteps of the legendary Dakar Rally.
FRANKFURT (20.12.2024) - Harley-Davidson will once again be taking part in this year's edition of the Africa Eco Race. Like the Dakar Rally in the past, the annual international rally-raid takes place mainly in North Africa and is considered one of the most demanding rallies in the world. Once again, Harley-Davidson will be represented by top rider and Dakar pro Joan Pedrero on the Pan America 1250 will be represented.

The Africa Eco Race 2025 will start on December 28, 2024, and cover 5,903 kilometers across the rugged landscapes of Africa before ending on January 12, 2025, at Lac Rose in Dakar. Harley-Davidson is participating in this race for the second time in a row. On his debut in 2024, Pedrero caused a sensation by securing first place in the Maxi Trail category and finishing 25th overall.
His machine, the H-D Pan America 1250, an exceptional adventure touring bike that combines the long tradition of the US brand with state-of-the-art technology, contributed significantly to this success. It is powered by the Revolution Max 1250 and already proved its performance, endurance, and reliability in the 2024 Africa Eco Race. On his near-stock machine, Pedrero mastered the extremely difficult course, achieved remarkable success, and underscored the capabilities of the Pan America 1250.
Joan Pedrero will now compete on the same machine, further cementing the adventure touring bike's reputation for robustness and reliability in extreme conditions.
On its journey from Monaco to Dakar, the Africa Eco Race 2025 presents participants with numerous demanding challenges, ranging from rocky mountain trails to towering desert dunes. For Harley-Davidson, the event is more than just another race in two respects: it demonstrates the performance of the Pan America 1250 and embodies the spirit of the brand, which stands for freedom and adventure.
All H-D fans who love adventure can follow Joan Pedrero's impressive trip through Africa by following the US brand on social media, where the Pan America 1250 will be featured in action in the form of news and video clips.
