Drunk caused an accident and drove away

Filderstadt June 14, 2021

A drunk driver slightly injured a motorcyclist in a traffic accident in Bernhausen on Saturday afternoon and then drove away. The 56-year-old was driving his Mercedes Benz C-Class shortly after 4:30 p.m. on Talstrasse coming from Aicher Strasse. While turning left onto Tübinger Straße, he hit the oncoming Harley Davidson of a 60-year-old man. The biker fell to the ground due to the contact and sustained minor injuries. The Mercedes driver initially stopped briefly, but then left the scene of the accident without permission.

Thanks to attentive witnesses who noted the license plate number of the fleeing vehicle, the 56-year-old was found at the owner's address a few minutes later. The officers discovered that the person who caused the accident was significantly under the influence of alcohol. A test gave a preliminary result of around two per thousand. After a blood sample he had to hand over his driver's license. The vehicles suffered damage amounting to several hundred euros.  

Staig - lost control
A motorcyclist slipped into oncoming traffic near Staig on Sunday.

At around 6 p.m., the 40-year-old drove his Harley Davidson from Altheim towards Staig. In a left-hand bend he lost control of his two-wheeler and fell. The motorcycle slid into the oncoming Renault of a 58-year-old.

The accident triggered the airbags on the Renault. In the accident, the 40-year-old suffered serious injuries and the 56 and 58-year-old women in the Renault suffered minor injuries. All three injured people were taken to hospitals. The damage amounts to around 48,000 euros.

(Orsingen-Nenzingen, District KN) Harley driver comes off the road

A 61-year-old motorcyclist drove her Harley-Davidson off the road near Zollbruck on Sunday afternoon. She was slightly injured in the fall. In a curve, the driver from the Freudenstadt district hit the shoulder and then lost control of her heavy machine. She then rolled down an embankment and came partially under her engine. The emergency services took the woman to a hospital. It is not yet clear how extensive the damage to the Harley is.

Sindelfingen: 30,000 euros in property damage and slightly injured motorcyclist

June 11, 2021 Ludwigsburg

In a traffic accident on Friday around 12:00 p.m. in the intersection of Fronäckerstrasse and Gottlieb-Daimler-Strasse in Sindelfingen, the material damage amounted to around 30,000 euros, according to an initial estimate. The 58-year-old driver of a Harley-Davidson sustained minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital by emergency services.  

An 18-year-old VW driver who was coming from Sindelfingen on Fronäckerstrasse towards Maichingen had apparently decided to turn left at short notice at the intersection with Gottlieb-Daimler-Strasse, even though the traffic light was red. As a result, the oncoming Harley-Davidson driver collided with the young man's car. The motorcycle was totaled in the collision.

(Sulz am Neckar, district RW) Harley driver collides with a deer and is seriously injured

A Harley-Davidson driver had an accident with his heavy machine on the old B14 on Thursday afternoon. At around 2 p.m. he was traveling towards Fischingen with another motorcyclist when suddenly a deer jumped out of the forest halfway there. The victim's friend was able to reflexively avoid the deer, but the 66-year-old was no longer able to do so. In the accident with the deer, he fell and was seriously injured. His motorcycle slid down the embankment there and came to rest next to the road in a meadow.

Due to the severity of the injuries, the motorcyclist had to be flown to a clinic by rescue helicopter. The state road was closed for almost two hours because the helicopter was landing and the accident was being recorded. This also led to traffic disruptions. The police estimate the damage to the Harley-Davidson at 3,000 euros. There is no trace of the deer, which continued to run towards the railway tracks after the accident. Together with the hunting tenant, officers from the Sulz police searched in vain for the possibly injured game.
