GERMAN MOTORCYCLE FANS WILL DECIDE THE FUTURE OF PROJECT LIVEWIRETM, THE FIRST ELECTRICALLY POWERED HARLEY-DAVIDSON®
OXFORD (May 8, 2015) – Motorcycle fans across Europe are now influencing the future of Project LiveWire™, the first electric-powered Harley-Davidson .
The machines are not currently intended for sale. Rather, they were made specifically to give Motor Company deeper insight into customers' demands and wishes for an electrically powered Harley-Davidson This approach corresponds to the US company's new development process, which takes customers' ideas into account to a large extent.
From now on, German fans can take part in a tender on the web with which the company wants to find 1,000 European riders who will drive an electric Harley-Davidson as part of the Project LiveWire Experience Tour on our continent and report to the manufacturer about it. To be included, you need to answer the following question: How would you describe Project LiveWire - in just three words and no more than 50 letters?
The Project LiveWire Experience Tour will stop in Great Britain, France, Italy, the Netherlands and Germany in 2015. German fans who were selected through the tender can mark their calendars for July 18th and 19th, because then the LiveWire fleet will be ready on the service roads at the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg south of Mannheim. Harley-Davidson is looking forward to numerous test riders and is excited to hear their verdict after the ride. Of course, you can take photos to your heart's content that document your personal test for friends, family and social networks. An exhibition on the site also provides information about Project LiveWire and the machines. If you want to take part but don't yet have a motorcycle license in your pocket, you can get an impression of the power of the LiveWire bikes Jumpstart™ driving simulator No registration is required to attend the event and have fun at Jumpstart™.
Anyone who would like to drive a LiveWire and share their impressions with the Motor Company should contact projectlivewire.com by June 20th. Participants who want to take a test ride must be at least 18 years old and have a class A driving license Everyone who is lucky enough to be able to test a LiveWire will be informed by email event
“The Project LiveWire Experience Tour will give European motorcycle fans the opportunity to tell us what they expect from an authentic, electric-powered Harley-Davidson,” says Michael Carney , Regional PR Manager Harley-Davidson Europe, Middle East and Africa. “After launching the first phase of the Experience Tour in the US last year, we are now expanding the project to receive input from European riders that will help us shape the future of this exciting technology.”
