Ravensburg – Harley overlooked the person who caused the accident, escapes and comes back
Ravensburg: Motorcyclists overlooked – accident
A 59-year-old Harley driver suffered minor injuries in a traffic accident on Markdorfer Strasse shortly after 3 p.m. on Sunday. A 58-year-old Toyota driver turned left from Flurstrasse onto Markdorfer Strasse and overlooked the biker who was traveling out of town. While turning, the front of the Toyota struck the right side of the motorcycle and the 59-year-old's leg.
The Harley driver was taken to a clinic by an ambulance crew to be treated for his injuries. There was around 1,000 euros worth of damage to the Harley and around 1,500 euros to the Toyota. When the police arrived at the scene of the accident, the 58-year-old man who caused the accident was initially no longer there, but returned shortly afterwards.
Because the officers smelled a clear smell of alcohol and a preliminary test showed a blood alcohol level well above 1 per mille, they ordered the man to have his blood taken at a hospital. The police seized the 58-year-old's vehicle key and driver's license and reported him to the public prosecutor's office. His journey ended there.
