Record results for the Harley-Davidson Charity Tour year
- Charity year 2024 brought in € 361,000 in donations
- 363,000 was paid out to needy families in Austria
- 120,000 € in cooperation with the LICHT INS DUNKEL emergency aid fund
VIENNA (22.1.2025) - „Loud for the quiet and strong for the weak“ is the motto of the Harley-Davidson® Charity Fund e.V.. Every year, it organizes the Harley-Davidson® Charity Tour (HDCT) throughout Austria with hundreds of Harley riders and collects donations that primarily benefit people suffering from muscle diseases. The bikers travel from province to province through Austria, where they are greeted in numerous cities by interested visitors, a festive atmosphere and large donations.

This year, the association collected over €361,000 and was even able to pay out €363,000 this year to make life easier for people with muscle diseases. In 2024, projects from the LICHT INS DUNKEL emergency aid fund were also supported with almost €120,000. HDCT's help begins where state aid ends. This is because public support is limited and does not cover all the necessary assistance that people with disabilities need. Whether therapies, home or car conversions: HDCT is ready and waiting to make it happen.
Successful tour and side events
The fund's commitment has been unbroken since 1996: the members have organized 27 charity tours with over 500 tour events in Austria to date. In 2024, the Harleys were buzzing again on May 1 in Steyr, on June 15 in Vienna, Eisenstadt and Wiener Neustadt and on the tour, where donations were collected from August 14-18 at 17 stops in Vienna, Lower Austria, Styria, Carinthia, Tyrol, Salzburg and Upper Austria - supported by many celebrities and the presenters Alex List, Dorian Steidl and Harry Prünster. The HDCT also presented itself at the Wels Motorcycle Fair, in Mörbisch at the Schlager parties and with James Blunt, as well as at the Bike Week in Faak, where further donations were raised.

Gala and prominent supporters
Friends and companions celebrated the success of the tour at the final gala on November 16 in Vienna, where Harry Prünster and his „Fabulous Boys“ entertained prominent guests such as tour founder Ferdinand O. Fischer, Albert Fortell, Manfred Ainedter, Niddl, the Edlseer and many more. Fischer, Albert Fortell, Manfred Ainedter, Niddl, Die Edlseer and many more, and Bill Davidson and Andrea Berg thanked the Harley community via video for their charitable commitment. The delicious barbecue by grill world champion Adi Bittermann and a selection of Göttlesbrunn wines ensured a further increase in donations, which then reached the record result of €361,000 for the year 2024 after various pre-Christmas events.

SAVE THE DATES: Tour dates 2025
The charity year begins at the moto-austria trade fair from February 7-9 in Wels, and the charity event will take place again on May 1 in Steyr-Bad Hall. The kick-off for the tour will take place on May 31 or June 14, so that hundreds of bikers can tour Austria again from August 13-17 to collect donations. The Bikeweek in Faak from September 2nd to 7th is also a fixed point, the gala is planned for November 8th.
„After the great result in 2024, our all-volunteer team is highly motivated to plan the 28th tour and the many side events this year and we are proud that we were able to help families in urgent need of support quickly and unbureaucratically with €363,000 in 2024,“ says Dieter Baier, President of the Harley-Davidson Charity Fund, looking back on the past year.
