REVIEW DRIVE-IN MOVIE THEATER „BEWEGTE ZEITEN“ HAMBURG & HAMBURG HARLEY DAYS

It was something new for the biking world, something completely new, and not everyone had any idea how it would work. I myself would never have expected it to be so enjoyable. Unfortunately, this campaign was not as well received as it deserved to be. People wanted to Hamburg to these „Turbulent times“ Make a statement.

In the afternoon, it was rather a sad sight: some made themselves comfortable in deck chairs in front of the big screen with parasols in the sweltering heat, while others didn't even bother to come and watch the cult film „Easy Rider“ That's understandable, because the thermometer had risen well above 30°C. Holy Spirit Field.

In the evening, the „We Will Rock You“ Show with Uwe Bahn. We Will Rock You was the motto, and contrary to what some people thought, it wasn't just about Queen, but a look back at the old rock and heavy metal era, about which Uwe Bahn had lots of backstage stories to tell. The professional presenter, who has a wealth of rock experience, did a really entertaining and excellent job. I could well imagine Uwe Bahn bringing this show to the Hamburg Harley Days sometime—it was really cool.

The main program was with AC/DC „River Plate“ Live filled, the big screen made us feel like we were right there. Lying in a deck chair next to the Harley at a cozy 26°C in front of this huge TV with the headphones on full blast. It was awesome and really something new. Fortunately, by the evening, a few more bikers had gathered to experience this new kind of Rock Party to pull in.

I could well imagine that if you only took the „We Will Rock You“ I would do the show again in the evening, now that everyone knows what's going on and that it would be full. Because basically, there has always been this connection between good Rock music and the Harley Driving and movies somehow belong together. And the drive-in cinema „Bewegte Zeiten“ (Turbulent Times) was a good approach to combining the two in an entertaining way during these truly turbulent times.
