Review - Harley-Davidson Ruhrpott Meeting 2022

The Harley-Davidson Ruhr Valley Meeting, is probably the most successful Harley-Davidson meeting in Germany. The spectacular event location is a former steelworks in the middle of the Pott. For one day a year, the iron mongers from Milwaukee come to Hattingen to bring the LWL Industrial Museum to life. In general, the location is an active museum, with old railroad locomotives and everything that belongs to a former steelworks. That's why 5 euros of the entrance fee charged by organizer Klaus Fröhlich goes to the museum.

Anyone with even a little Harley feeling in their blood will get the tingling sensation at 10:00 a.m. when the tour opens, and from then on the Harleys drive continuously onto the site. They park wherever there is space, it all works somehow. The weather was great, which is not unimportant at such an open event, the sun was obviously leased in advance for the whole year, you could hear that they always have nice weather for the Harley Meeting.

The Ruhrpott Meeting is not a typical event, here you only celebrate for one day. That's why most visitors come from the region, but that doesn't mean it's not worth combining the event with a short Ruhrpott tour.

There are good hotels in the area and beautiful tours can also be planned.

From 15:00 it gets a little quieter and from 17:00 the whole spook is already over again. You simply have to experience it. So many beautiful Harleys in a heap, all of which you want to see in a few hours, keeps you on your toes. You can find some of them in the picture gallery. The Ruhrpott Meeting can definitely be recommended, there are many scene stands and plenty of entertainment. All in all, a well-rounded event! See you in 2023!!!
