50,000 visitors at the Harley Dome Cologne 2017

- Urban street event with free admission and perfect spring weather
- Test rides, street food market, custom bike and HDC radio show,
- Large parade as a demonstration against intolerance in road traffic

(Neu-Isenburg, 31.05.2017) Kölsch is a delicious, top-fermented drink and a dialect that turns a „g“ into a „j“ and an „ich“ into an „isch“ - but above all, it is a mentality whose local patriotism, cheerfulness and openness are infectious. The fact that in Cologne The best way to celebrate, dance and laugh together was also discovered by the 50,000 or so visitors who came to the Harley Dome Cologne had made the pilgrimage. In 2017, the major Harley Feeling event took place for the fourth time in perfect spring weather. The venue was Alfred-Schütte-Allee directly on the Rhine, which was transformed into a Mecca for people with gasoline in their blood for two days.

In addition to the fascinating view of the unmistakable city panorama including the cathedral, the event location offered a main street around one kilometer long, on which the bikes and their owners were allowed to stroll and which was flanked by the stands of the dealers and caterers. The supply of stylish clothing and cool Motorcycle accessories the authorized dealers from Cologne and Bonn as well as a large number of free traders. Food and drink were provided by the Jever beer garden and the numerous stands in the Street Food Market. Whether meat or fish, vegan or vegetarian - every palate was spoiled here. And those who wanted to relax away from the hustle and bustle could simply sit down with a drink on the Bollard meadows on the banks of the Rhine and enjoy the Cologne dolce vita.

As befits a Harley Event a complete fleet of the latest models was Harley models available for test drives. In the Electric Fun Park Meanwhile, locally emission-free transportation could be tested, and on the Land Rover Adventure Trail the British cult four-wheelers demonstrated what they are capable of beyond the tarmac. Frank Sander and Volker Wolf provided entertainment with their Harley Dome Cologne radio show live from the Show Stage: interviews, scene news and music could be followed throughout the festival grounds. As the two presenters are recognized experts in all things customization they were also members of the expert jury.

The latter inspected the machines that were installed in the large Custom bike show competed for victory in seven categories. The title „Best of Show“ this year Julian von Oheimb in.
With the large Parade - an impressive demonstration against intolerance in road traffic - the bikers said goodbye to their hosts, who lined the streets waving and cheering. Around 5,000 motorcycles made their way over Cologne's bridges and through the city.

It should be clear to their owners that they will be back next year when NRW's largest metropolis Harley-Davidson celebrate - in true Cologne style, simply in a good mood.
