This was a truly legendary concert in Vechta, it began with the Manfred Mann's Earth Band on the open air area of the Stoppelmarkt. Everyone, no longer the youngest, but first class on stage, performed their songs to the best.
The band itself has a large fan base in Germany, but its wild, always action-packed show made it a perfect fit for the bands of the older days. As a stage diver into the crowd, or destroying liters of beer, the show was right. Even if they were enthusiastic Harley riders, they were still apparently surprised that someone else would hire them as an opener. Sascha joked a little that if the Eagles preferred to watch World Cup football, they would go through the evening.
They performed well and got a lot out of their song program, a TOP live band, great musicians, the visit was worth it just because of the BOSSHOSS crew.
But then the Eagles came onto the scene. At first they joked about the weather, which they thought was similar to Canada, but then it started.
Despite the light drizzle, the spark ignited, a mega sound system, I've never heard such good sound at a live concert, really remarkable.
Anyone who was able to sing along to the songs by the Eagles will have had 100% satisfaction, no CD can compete with the soundscape, that was an experience. The Eagles' road songs accompany many Harley bikers on their tours, some even came to the concert with their bikes, Harley jackets and T-shirts could be seen noticeably often.
It was their only concert in Germany. If they had been a little more conspicuous in the media in Germany after such a long time, the open-air venue in Vechta would not have been enough for such a high-quality show. There will have been around 10,000 thousand visitors who showed up in time to get the best seats.
Everything was very well organized inside, good food and a good supply of drinks rounded off the evening. The fans got their money's worth, some of them traveled very far, and were rewarded with a first-class concert.
