2010 | End of the Hamburg Harley Days
Right in January 2010 the first new message in 2010 hit like a bomb.
The Hamburg Senate has the Hamburg Harley Days 2010 and also for 2011. And the reason could be one again 10 years later, the City of Hamburg was named environmental capital in 2011 and in this case the event would not fit into the overall picture. But Harley-Davidson had fought, Bernhard Gneithing, the Harley-Davidson Marketing Director at the time, was able to save the event with everyone involved, and over 40,000 signatures had made a difference.
2010 | End of the Berlin Harley Days
The next big headline in April 2010 was the „End of the Berlin Harley Days“. Berlin is already a cool location for a proper Harley event, but the authorities didn't want it at the time, and the lack of support from the authorities ultimately led to the Cancellation the Berlin Harley Days.

The previous year, a conspicuous police presence with selective body searches on entering the event site had already caused a bad atmosphere. Around 150,000 visitors joined in the celebrations in the capital, but unfortunately a massive rocker war had broken out in Berlin at the time. The event did not take place again, the restrictions were simply too high.
2010 | Easy Rider legend Dennis Hopper is dead

In May 2010, Dennis Hopper died of cancer at the age of 74. The legendary Billy Bike belonged to Dennis Hopper, not to forget the Ledergut. „Born to be Wild“

2011 - There was also a big Harley party in Bavaria in 2011. The Munich Harley Festival still existed in 2012.
2011 - Harley-Davidson Academy of Motorcycling offers its first „ladies only” motorcycle training.
2012 | The Harley Weekend Lübeck will no longer take place
The Harley Weekend Lübeck had a similar fate to the Berlin Harley Days. The official requirements could no longer be met by the major event. The party took place in the entire city area of Lübeck and Travemünde. Over 50 bands rocked out on 8 stages surrounded by a fantastic old town backdrop.
Sportster Seventy-Two

In 2012, Harley-Davidson presented the Sportster Seventy-Two, reminiscent of the 70s. Its design was created by Willy G. Davidson and Frank Savage, and the whitewall tires and the new big flake paintwork with retro pinstripes were particularly striking.
Harley-Davidson Germany Headquarters

2012 - Relocation of the Harley-Davidson Germany headquarters
At the end of 2012, the Harley-Davidson Germany headquarters moved to its new location in Neu-Isenburg. This is also where future training courses and town hall meetings will take place.

In 2013, the Hamburg Harley Days its 10th anniversary
The 110th Anniversary Party in Rome
In 2013, Harley-Davidson celebrated its 110th anniversary with a mega event in Rome. Four days of celebrations took place in Rome, the center of the event was in the port of Ostia right by the sea.
The bike show and live music took place at the Olympic Stadium and Pope Francis gave the Harley fans a blessing in St. Peter's Square.
2013 - The Harleysite already has its first 20,000 fans on Facebook
2013 - At the end of 2013, Easyriders magazine repositioned itself in Europe. Times have generally become even more difficult for magazines, and nothing has changed to this day.
Harald Glööckler polarizes the Harley scene
2013 - In October 2013, Harald Glööckler presented the Glööckler custom bikes based on a Softail Deluxe and Dyna Switchback at a presentation in Berlin.
The two bikes underwent a spectacular metamorphosis. Golden stitching, nubuck leather seat benches decorated with a Glööckler crown and countless rhinestones, they had both unmistakably mutated into a Glööckler Harley.

The work was really good, but for the Harley community a Harley with a lipstick holder was too much.
The punk really went off on Facebook, it was so bad that Facebook threw the Harleysite out of the stream for a year, then the Glööckler also linked the Harleysite, that was almost the end. That's how pure information can cause sleepless nights.
