Review - Super Rally Sweden 2022
Arrive early to secure the best seats! That was certainly the motto of the Super Rally 2023 in Sweden. The weekend before the actual event, the first bikers made their way to the island of Öland in Sweden from all corners of Europe.
As a result, there were sometimes huge queues in front of the entrance to the event. It was not possible to book the €85 ticket online in advance, but otherwise everyone was relaxed despite the waiting time, as things were always moving forward.
Nobody had expected such a rush, so additional paddocks were cleared to accommodate all the bikers until the weekend. The area was in an absolutely perfect location, a beautiful area and the weather offered pretty much everything, June can still be fresh in the far north.
Basically it was a good event, here and there some questions arose as to why they charged so much for admission? The Scandinavians are actually better at live music and the biggest drawback was the sanitary facilities. Absolutely clean, but simply not enough of them, including the showers. The breakfast could be described as a bit special, but that's the way it is.
The stage for the live music was open air, luckily everything went well, we've seen it differently, we didn't expect bad weather and probably didn't expect so many bikers to come either. After all, they're all getting older and their bones aren't getting any younger, but you still ride the kilometers and still traditionally build the Tent up, respect!
The police had set up especially on Sunday and, as already announced, alcohol and drug checks were carried out. The Swedish police focused on ensuring that no one left the island of Öland in a daze.
Mitunter sieht man auf der Super Rally immer neuere Harleys, das hat sich im Gegensatz früher geändert. Mitunter sind mal Custombikes dabei, aber in der Regel sind hier die alten Donneröfen noch unterwegs, Auf der Super Rally ist es so, das nur Harleys auf das Gelände kommen, dem bleiben sie sich treu. Jedenfalls hat über Pfingsten, die Insel gebebt, ist ja klar, das man sich die Gegend mal anschaut, wenn man man schon mal auf der Insel Öland unterwegs sein kann.

CONCLUSION: The Super Rally is always worth a trip, but it can't hurt to be a bit self-sufficient when it comes to supplies, you don't know beforehand how full it will actually be and if it is full, you sometimes have to wait everywhere. There are lots of cool machines to see, and when the slight smell of gasoline wafts over the camp and the machines start up in every corner, it's a cool feeling.
