Review – Super Rally Sweden 2022
Arrive early to secure the best seats! That was certainly the motto of the Super Rally 2023 in Sweden. Already on the weekend before the actual event, the first bikers made their way to the island of Öland in Sweden, from all corners of Europe.
Accordingly, there was a huge backlog in front of the entrance to the event. You couldn't book the ticket for €85 online in advance, but otherwise everyone was relaxed despite the waiting time because things were always progressing.
Nobody expected this rush, additional paddocks were cleared to accommodate all the bikers until the weekend. The area was absolutely in a great location, a beautiful area and the weather had pretty much everything to offer, June can still be cool in the far north.
Basically it was a good event, here and there a few questions arose as to why they charged so much entry? The Scandinavians are actually better at live music and the biggest drawback was the sanitary facilities. Absolutely clean, but just not enough of them, including the showers. The breakfast could be described as a bit strange, but that's what it is.
The stage for the live music was open air, luckily everything went well, you saw it differently, you didn't even expect bad weather and so there weren't that many bikers coming either. Because they're all getting older and their bones aren't getting any younger, you still drive the kilometers and still set up the tent in the traditional way, respect!
The police were particularly deployed on Sunday and, as already announced, carried out alcohol and drug checks. The Swedish police focused on ensuring that no one left the island of Öland completely out of their minds and in a daze.
Sometimes you see newer Harleys at the Super Rally, which has changed compared to before. Sometimes custom bikes are there, but usually the old thunder ovens are still around here. At the Super Rally it is the case that only Harleys come onto the site, and they remain true to that. In any case, the island shook over Pentecost, so it's clear that you should take a look at the area if you're ever on the island of Öland.

CONCLUSION: The Super Rally is always worth a trip, it doesn't hurt to be a little self-sufficient when it comes to supplies, you don't know beforehand how full it will actually be and if it is full, you'll have to wait everywhere. There are lots of cool machines to see, when a slight hint of the smell of petrol blows over the camp and the machines start in every corner, it's a cool feeling.
