Between Friday (April 19, 2024), 6:00 p.m. and Saturday (April 20, 2024), 10:45 a.m., a motorcycle was stolen from Hauptstraße in Rheurdt. The 63-year-old owner from Krefeld had parked the motorcycle (manufacturer: Harley-Davidson / model: FL1200/FL) in a parking lot at the location on Friday and attached an additional chain lock in addition to the ignition and steering wheel lock to secure it. When the man returned to the location on Saturday, the motorcycle, which had an effect paint (the color changes depending on the sunlight) and the license plate KK-HD58, had been stolen. The officers were able to recover the broken chain lock. How the perpetrator(s) used the Harley-Davidson from the location is not yet known.
The police have started an investigation and are looking for witnesses. Information can be obtained from the Geldern CID on 02831 1250. (pp)
