Wir haben uns mit den Jungs getroffen, um sie zu fragen, was einen echten Biker ausmacht, was passiert, wenn jemand ungefragt ihr Moped anfasst und ob man am Gashahn spielt, wenn an der Ampel nebenan eine heiße Braut auftaucht …
Why do you work for Harley-Davidson?
Piet: To earn money.
That can't be everything!
Milan: Well, we've turned our hobby into a profession.
Piet: Sure, you do it out of passion. I can't stand up at Honda and sell Honda or toast at Aldi. You have to stand behind the product.
What was the first Harley you rode?
Piet: Die erste Harley … Hmm, das muss eine Sportster gewesen sein.
You really have to think about it!
Milan: Ich glaube, ich habe eine V-Rod zuerst gefahren. Oder eine Street Glide. Ich weiß es nicht mehr. Ich bin in diesem Leben schon so viele Harleys gefahren, dass ich mich echt nicht mehr erinnern kann.
OK, but you can remember your first motorcycle, right?
Milan: I'm not allowed to say that. Simson Schwalbe.
Piet: Hahahaha!
Milan: Well, that was the first light motorcycle. But everyone starts small.
Piet: My first was the Suzuki Intruder.
And which Harley model did you own first?
Milan: E-Glide Standard.
Piet: Wide-Glide.
Tell us about a „perfect moment“ on your Harley!
Milan: I've experienced so many perfect moments. I've driven through Europe, through the USA ... There were so many things where you can say „that was fun“. You remember even the moments that weren't so much fun. For example, the downpour in Florida when the running boards of the E-Glide were gone because of the water on the road - and it was still awesome!
