Summertime, and the livin' was easy
The fourth Rock 'n' Race ends with a new visitor record
(Bad Tölz, August 21, 2017) On August 12th and 13th, one of the coolest motorcycle parties in Bavaria took place for the fourth time: Rock 'n' Race in Bad Tölz - two days full of party and action for motorcycle fans and everyone who wants to become one . The organizers of the event - the Harley-Davidson Gallery in Gelting near Wolfratshausen and the Jailhouse American Diner - could be extremely satisfied, because the 2017 edition of the event went beyond all dimensions: around 10,000 visitors came to celebrate together in a relaxed manner at Moraltpark. Hotels and guesthouses in Bad Tölz and the surrounding area were completely booked.
Around 3,200 motorcycles, most of them “made in the USA”, guaranteed sonorous “good vibrations” around the epicenter of the party. To the great delight of all fans, Petrus ensured mostly good weather with temperatures of up to 30 degrees. The large dealer mile simply offered everything to do with motorcycles in general and Harley-Davidson in particular.
The machines from the land of unlimited possibilities were available for free test drives - an offer that the guests were only too happy to accept: the test drive team counted more than 240 “demo rides”. For two days, the employees of the Harley-Davidson Gallery were available to provide advice and talk shop - especially managing director Dipl. Ing. Wolfram Rummel, who clearly enjoyed the hustle and bustle surrounding the brand.
“We are very pleased that this event has now taken place for the fourth time and is now known to people far beyond the district and state borders. The quality of the event is also reflected in the numerous high-quality custom bikes that were on display on the site.” The Isartal Chapter of the Harley Owners Group, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, also had reason to be happy, as numerous Visitors took the opportunity to explore the best motorcycle roads in the beautiful surroundings on one of the chapter-led tours.
The Jailhouse American Diner and several other caterers dedicated themselves to combating hunger and thirst in the usual manner. And – how could it be otherwise for an event that has the term “rock” in its name – the music program was also massive. Rocks N' Pebbles, United Chrash, Roxxdoxx, Flat Out and Boneshaker were the names of the live bands that brought the atmosphere in front of the stage to a boil.
After Rock 'n' Race is before Rock 'n' Race. If you want to experience the 2018 edition of the event, you should mark the date August 11th to 12th in red in your calendar, because then Bad Tölz will quake for the fifth time.
