The new Cardo basic model scala rider FREECOM 1 offers a versatile Bluetooth connection to a smartphone, MP3 player and navigation device. It is extremely compact and extremely easy to use.
The robust scala rider FREECOM 1 was developed by Cardo for motorcyclists who do not need an intercom because they usually ride alone, but who still want to listen to music, navigate or make phone calls on the bike. The extremely flat, 40 mm HD stereo speakers, the microphone, the compact control unit and the cabling of the scala rider FREECOM 1 can be attached to almost any helmet in just a few minutes. Operating the device is child's play - thanks to the new large touch pad, which takes up almost the entire area of the control unit, and thanks to the intuitive menu navigation, which can be done in several languages.
The scala rider FREECOM 1 allows simultaneous connection to two Bluetooth-enabled devices, for example wireless music streaming in the best sound quality, receiving voice instructions from a navigation device and accepting or rejecting incoming telephone calls via smartphone. In all applications, the volume is automatically adjusted according to the ambient noise and the driving speed.
Telephone calls and navigation instructions automatically interrupt music reception, but navigation instructions can also be heard during a telephone conversation.
The software of the new scala rider FREECOM 1 can be updated via a USB port on a computer on the Cardo Community website; the device can also be configured using a compatible smartphone or tablet thanks to the free SmartSet app for Android and iOS.
The new scala rider FREECOM 1 from Cardo has a talk time of up to 13 hours on a single battery charge and is available from specialist retailers or in the Cardo online shop. The scala rider FREECOM 1 is waterproof and dustproof (IP 67).
