SEASON OPENING AT HARLEY-DAVIDSON IN THE EAST
What's actually going on at Harley-Davidson in the East in 2023?
A lot, because especially in Saxony in the three H-D stores of Thomas Heavy Metal Bikes (Dresden, Leipzig and Chemnitz) are always well celebrated.
In Saxony's largest city, Leipzig, things are about to kick off. The season starts on April 15 with a proper „Season Opening“, as Harley-Davidson is calling it from this year on.
15.04.2023 Season Opening Harley-Davidson Leipzig
In the north of Leipzig, just 5 minutes from the A14, you will find everything your Harley heart desires on over 1,800 square meters. The almost legendary spring open house in Leipzig is accompanied by live music, test ride opportunities and plenty of food and drinks.
The H-D team welcomes you from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dortmunder Straße. Bikers are allowed to ride onto the site as long as there is enough space, early arrival ensures good places. It will definitely be quite a big party, because the team in Leipzig will go to great lengths as always to put on a cool event for you.
22.04.2023 Season Opening Harley-Davidson Chemnitz
It continues on 22.04. in Chemnitz. Last year, some of you were there for the great re-opening after the move from the mini-store on Zwickauer Straße to the new huge store on Reichsstraße. An unbelievably beautiful building, take another look at the pictures. The Harley store is located in a historic train station from 1858, right in the middle of the city.
At the same time as the season opening, the team will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of the company, as the Chemnitz store was opened in the old building back in 2013. For the season opening, there will be test ride opportunities, live music, delicious beer from the Munzer brewery, which is located in the basement of the Harley store, and plenty of new Harley stuff in the store. The team welcomes you from 10am - 4pm in Chemnitz.

06.05.2023 Season Opening Harley-Davidson Dresden
Last but not least, the headquarters of the Saxons, Harley-Davidson Dresden.
It's really getting down to business here. Not only will the season finally be officially ushered in in Dresden, there will also be a big celebration to mark the 15th anniversary of H-D Dresden on May 6. In 2008, Sibylle Thomas-Göbelbecker and her team opened the store in a listed building that was part of a pharmaceutical factory for many decades.
The big celebration is underway with plenty of live music, food and drinks, bikes, test rides, the latest gear and the whole team from H-D Dresden, so everything is at the start. A visit to the outskirts of Dresden, not far from the Karl May Museum, is definitely worthwhile, as is Dresden as a city. Some people already know Dresden from the Harley Days, which will take place again this year from July 21-23.
Pro Tip: Saxony offers many great motorcycle routes, so it's worth a visit even when there are no parties. But I'm sure some of you will be passing through here on your way to Budapest.
