Serial 1 is now a Google Cloud eMobility partner; New eBikes offer Google Cloud-enabled connectivity via the new Serial 1 app for greater convenience, safety and security.
MILWAUKEE – May 17, 2022 – Serial 1 today introduced the second generation of its /CTY eBikes, now equipped with Google Cloud connectivity, further enhancing the premium e-bike experience. The new connectivity features, developed in collaboration with Google Cloud, capture important ride data, significantly improving safety and making it easier than ever to enjoy every ride.

With app-controlled safety features, turn-by-turn navigation with the Google Maps platform and real-time riding data collected directly from the eBike, the Serial 1 app is the perfect riding assistant for your Serial 1 eBike. Connectivity features include:
Integrated digital security with pinpoint accuracy: With Serial 1's Pinpoint mode, customers have the ability to precisely track, monitor and digitally lock their Serial 1 eBike - no matter where it is.

Route planning and turn-by-turn navigation: By integrating current turn-by-turn navigation data from the Google Maps platform, Serial 1 app users can easily plan the best bike-specific routes - including local bike paths, bike paths and bike trails.
Real-time ride data dashboard: From speed to efficiency, distance to battery range, every detail of your ride is available at your fingertips. After each completed trip, you will also receive a summary and can compare trip and performance data over time.
Integrated Device Charger: New this year, all Serial 1 /CTY eBikes are equipped with an integrated USB-C charging cable located under the handlebar stem for powering a cell phone and using the Serial 1 app.

In addition to cloud-based data management, Serial 1's next-generation /CTY platform is equipped with advanced connectivity hardware to ensure a reliable connection. An integrated Internet of Things (IoT) device enables connection not only via Bluetooth wireless technology, but also via cellular data and/or GPS to ensure you can reliably access your bike even when it is not is within your line of sight.
