SWITCH/MTN was developed for all active athletes who are looking for a fast, fun and versatile bike to let off steam off-road or go exploring and enjoy every ride.

MILWAUKEE – June 17, 2022 – today is the SWITCH/MTN from Serial 1 , a hardtail e-MTB ready for any off-road adventure. The SWITCH/MTN has been redesigned from the ground up, but with the same care and attention to detail that Serial 1 is known for. The SWITCH/MTN was designed for active adventurers looking for a quick, fun and versatile way to explore the area.

The SWITCH/MTN is an extremely off-road bike, with performance that will put a smile on the face of even experienced riders. Nevertheless, the geometry and the small details ensure that our new E-MTB remains absolutely accessible to newcomers to off-road adventures and that they feel just as comfortable.

The SWITCH/MTN has the same basic construction as Serial 1's renowned /CTY bikes and uses the same center-mounted Brose S Mag motor and self-developed, super-compact battery system to shift the center of gravity to the center and ensure optimal handling guarantee. The SWITCH/MTN has been equipped with off-road specific geometry and a variety of trail-ready technologies to create an exceptionally confident off-road machine.

The premium, fully adjustable SR Suntour ZERON35 BOOST AIR suspension fork absorbs big hits and small bumps in equal measure, while grippy, large-volume Michelin E-Wild knobby tires provide excellent traction. The TranzX seat post allows the SWITCH/MTN rider to continuously adjust their saddle height to enjoy the same level of comfort and confidence in every riding situation.

Drivetrain components are from SRAM's SX Eagle range, including the 1x12-speed combination, operated with e-bike-specific one-click trigger shifters to provide the perfect gear ratio for any terrain when needed. The brakes are also state-of-the-art. The TRP Slate T4 hydraulic disc brakes have also been specifically developed for E-MTB use.

Powerful four-piston brake calipers grip oversized brake discs with a diameter of 203 mm and a thickness of 2.3 mm, which offer fade-free braking performance even on very long and fast descents.

All of this trail-ready technology is great, but what really sets the SWITCH/MTN apart in the E-MTB space is the added value in comfort and convenience that isn't a given in this category. Fully integrated LED lighting – including our proprietary BAF (Bright As F***) headlight and high-visibility RAT (Rearward Awareness Technology) tail and brake lights – increases both safety and usability.

Additionally, like all 2022 Serial 1 e-bikes, the SWITCH/MTN features cloud-ready connectivity via the Serial 1 app, developed in collaboration with Google Cloud to capture important riding data, improve safety and make it easier than to do before, to enjoy every trail.
