15th Summertime Party Sylt 2012

This weekend the Summertime Party was once again held on the island of Sylt. Despite the changeable weather, the Harley bikers came to the island in large numbers for the 15th anniversary, many of them arriving a few days in advance by car train or ferry via Denmark.

I can recommend both, the Danish route via Rómó offers direct contact with the sea, the salty sea air is a dream and the route is a dream, the ferry ride is particularly suitable for taking a break with a cup of coffee and when everyone starts their Harley, it's already a dream. It's a great feeling to be there.

But the ride on the car train is also impressive, taking you along the dyke through the middle of the mudflats to the island. The Harleys are lashed down with the help of the train staff, and there is an extra carriage for bikers from which you can enjoy the ride.

On Friday the party was held in the Kursaal in Westerland, a special highlight was the party band Boerny & DIE TRi TOPs on stage and really got the room in the right mood, this year there was an exclusive Gosch-Harley to be won, if you wanted the chance to win the new rebuilt Harley-Davidson Street-Bob, you had to register with the Sylt Chapter in good time, the participants and tickets were limited.

The lucky winner traveled from Berlin, which was worth it for him, I would say, the custom Gosch Harley was extensively rebuilt and lavishly painted. On Saturday morning, the Harleys lined up on the promenade in Westerland for the big ride.

Many beautiful custom bikes were once again on display on the dyke, with tourists and locals alike not wanting to miss the show. Then it started, led by a police Harley-Davidson, the entourage was led off the dyke.

This time the Sylt chapter did the tour a little differently than usual, of course there was again the stop at Gosch in List, but this time there was live music in Weddingstedt from the island band Kernig, Friesisch herb!

Even the band was styled in Harley style with the right T-shirts and created a good atmosphere. It was another successful party, which once again this year can be counted among the most beautiful Harley events in the country thanks to its special flair.
