CHOO CHOO – SYKES KING OF KINGS FROM ENGLAND
Sykes Harley-Davidson UK is an authorized Harley-Davidson dealer operating its store approximately one hour south of London on the English Channel. It's not the biggest shop, but it's one of the big names in the UK when it comes to converting Harley-Davidson bikes.
His contribution to the King of Kings Battle is the CHOO CHOO based on a 1200 Custom Sportster . If you just look at the engine, you at least get the idea that a Sportster is the heart donor. At the international King of Kings competition he came in fourth place with the CHOO CHOO Sportster conversion. The level of the 16 participants is extremely high from the first to the last bike.
Almost everything is allowed
In contrast to the dealers' Custom Kings country battles, there are only small editions in the premier class. For the competition, a Sportster frame with the Evolution engine be used, the year of manufacture does not matter. No changes may be made to the main frame and the swingarm should remain functional. However, the swing arm was extended by 1 1/2 inches, so the rear comes together even more nicely.
MUSTARD – SYKES BATTLE OF THE KINGS 2019
Last year, Sykes won the Custom Kings Battle in England with the Mustard. In this competition, there was a requirement that 50% of the accessories from the official Harley-Davidson accessories range must be installed. And as you can see with the Mustard, you can put together a pretty impressive bike this way. Its special style is its tail section, which has a very flat finish, this style is often seen on Sykes custom bike conversions .
THE CHOO CHOO IS AN EXTENSIVE CONVERSION
In terms of creativity, design and technical implementation, the former Custom Sportster is certainly one of the most elaborately converted bikes from the Kings of Kings Battle 2020 . John Sykes and his employee Tom “Winnee” Winchester came up with the idea for the renovation.
Sykes the bike should definitely have vintage touch Choo Choo comes from the old song Chattanooga Choo Choo from 1941 by Glenn Miller . This is pure nostalgia and we find the transition in the Paughco Springer fork , which starts the transition to the tank in the WLR Flathead design .
The sloping wide handlebar is an RSD stapler part, the matching handles are handmade. The old-school tires and spoked rims from the Softail Slim round off the design perfectly.

The gasoline is sprayed into the two EVO cylinders via an S & S Super E Shorty carburettor and bellmouth conversion and the absolute highlight is the Holeshot HX25 turbocharger, which is otherwise actually used in an Iveco truck.
Only the driver can tell you whether the hand-made Screamer Fishtail Pipe exhaust system is really that perfect, because one thing is clear: with this turbo, the exhaust system will glow when there is strong power demand.
The highlight is the heavily modified Holeshot HX25 turbocharger , originally developed for an Iveco truck. It was welded to the intake manifold and runs an S&S Super E Shorty carburetor and the bellmouth conversion.
CHOO CHOO Big Twin Fishtail Exhaust
Sykes fabricated a 1½-inch stainless steel exhaust manifold with a modified GasBox Big Twin fishtail exhaust.
Sykes fabricated a 1½-inch stainless steel exhaust manifold with a modified GasBox Big Twin fishtail exhaust that will put a lot of fire under your ass. An external bypass valve for boost pressure control and a manual boost regulator made of brass, the boost indicator is integrated into the fuel tank.

The rocker box, cam, sprocket and primary cover are from EMD (EMD / Esteves Motorcycles Design) .
The Springer fork works at the front and progressive suspension with shock absorbers is installed at the rear.
Overall, it's a really spectacular conversion. The CHOO CHOO came fourth in the voting. You have to say that it's only an online vote, it's actually a shame that Harley-Davidson doesn't do more with this competition. Many people would definitely like to take a closer look at masterpieces like this.
