It's about time to get the motorcycle ready for the new 2024 season. A dashcam may be part of the equipment: the Mio MiVue M760D documents the tours to capture the best memories and share them with friends. It is also suitable for preserving evidence in the event of an accident.
Motorcyclists have a higher risk of accidents. Too often they are overlooked by other road users. The manufacturer developed the Mio MiVue M760D dashcam to clearly document the causes of accidents. The camera has a GPS module that secures the date, location and time of the recording so that it can be used as evidence in court.
Razor-sharp images are not only a requirement for accident documentation, but also ensure memories of the tours in the best quality: With a high-quality lens with F1.6 aperture, a Sony STRAVIS CMOS sensor and a viewing angle of 130 degrees, the Mio MiVue M760D captures every detail the ride. Neither darkness nor driving through a tunnel or bad weather conditions cloud the recording quality: thanks to the Mio Night Vision Pro technology, the camera delivers first-class images even in unfavorable lighting conditions and the recordings remain calm and stable even at high speeds and poor roads.
The Mio MiVue M760D includes two cameras in one set - one for the front and one for the back. This not only captures the road in front of the motorcycle, but also films what is happening behind the bike and records it in full HD.
No chance of coming back from a tour without pictures! The camera is permanently mounted on the motorcycle and cannot simply be forgotten. The power supply is secured by the motorcycle's battery, so that the recording time is no longer limited by a battery. A 32 GB memory card is also included.
Motorcyclists can easily let their friends join in the fun: The Mio MiVue M760D has a built-in WIFI module to synchronize the data with the smartphone. The videos can be downloaded, shared with friends or broadcast live from the tour using the Mio Pro app.
Wind and weather are no problem for the Mio MiVue M760D.
The device is completely waterproof and can be used in temperatures from -10 to 60 degrees. Recommended retail price: 399 euros. Available from Louis.

November 17, 2023 – RideLink GmbH, a pioneer in motorcycle technology, announces the launch of a Kickstarter campaign for the innovative WingMan OBD Plus.
RideLink GmbH, the Frankfurt startup known for its advanced motorcycle safety solutions, brings a new era of vehicle diagnostics with the WingMan OBD Plus. This device not only offers motorcyclists the standard OBD2 diagnostics, but also enables the reading of manufacturer-specific data, a function that was previously only possible in special workshops.
What can the WingMan OBD Plus do?
The RideLink WingMan OBD Plus is an advanced device for motorcycles that offers a variety of functions for safety, driving pleasure and vehicle diagnostics:
In summary, the RideLink WingMan OBD Plus is a comprehensive tool for technically enthusiastic motorcyclists.
The WingMan OBD Plus goes beyond ordinary tracking. It allows riders to monitor real-time values from the motorcycle, apply these to their rides and even code the motorcycle for improved performance and customization. The device also offers an exclusive option to read manufacturer-specific error codes, giving drivers a deeper insight into the condition of their vehicle.
My personal conclusion!
The WingMan OBD Plus seems to be a very interesting tool to make driving in a group more informative.
Live tracking and the accident detector can provide quick information in an emergency situation, especially if you are traveling in an unknown region. The technical functions are overall appealing. With the RideLink app it seems to be an extremely innovative offer for motorcyclists. Theft and GPS tracking
The WingMan OBD Plus could potentially be seen as an advantage with your insurance.
Comparing the price with a conventional anti-theft GPS transmitter is a decisive argument in favor of the WingMan OBD Plus. Access to vehicle data in real time
Reading out engine temperature, fuel consumption, speed, etc. is certainly a good thing, but I'm not sure whether you should delete the service note in this day and age when you can hardly do anything on new motorcycles yourself not really sure if that makes sense.
Anyone making changes in this area should know exactly what they are doing.
I don't see whether it really makes any difference if you can defer the service that the machine actually needs according to the manufacturer, at least for newer vehicles that are still under warranty. Conclusion:
Overall, WingMan OBD Plus is a very interesting tool that has really great functions.
There is also the RideLink app, which makes everything a smooth ride, especially if you want to record the tours you take. Personally, I don't see the vehicle diagnostics as the highlight at all, but rather the gathering of information for the big ride. Since many people are already talking in groups with intercom motorcycle intercom systems, it makes sense if they also have the same information about the planned route on which Can see cell phone.
In my opinion, the theft protection with GPS tracking is RideLink's greatest asset. In any case, it is very exciting what innovative ideas we are offered here. Harleysite – Volker Wolf
Special offer : For the last 30 days of the campaign, the WingMan OBD Plus will be offered at a price of EUR 349.95, before returning to the regular price of EUR 399.95.
Download the RideLink app from the respective app stores.

Berlin, May 4th, 2023 – A theft ruins the most beautiful motorcycle trip. GPS trackers not only provide peace of mind, but also protect against loss of the machine. The experts at PAJ GPS explain how this works.
For a real biker, his motorcycle is more than just a means of transportation. Driver and machine grow together over the kilometers. Loss due to theft hurts even more and cannot be compensated for even with the best insurance. A GPS tracker on the bike gives riders the certainty of finding their bike quickly in an emergency.
Crime worries the biker scene
Motorcycles are not only valuable to their owners, criminal gangs also have their eyes on the coveted machines. As the police crime statistics from the Federal Criminal Police Office show, there were almost 24,000 motorcycle thefts in Germany in 2022 alone. The number of crimes varies depending on the federal state. With 52.0 stolen motorcycles per 100,000 inhabitants, Berlin tops the list, followed by Bremen and Saxony-Anhalt.
Once the motorcycle is lost, finding it again is usually difficult. As the BKA reports, the thieves' trail often leads into the thicket of organized crime. The bikes often end up directly abroad. The laborious international bureaucracy makes the investigations extremely difficult. The authorities can only solve one in five motorcycle thefts.
Easy Riders
Whether on a trip on the road or in your own garage: criminals strike anywhere and at any time. Cases increase, especially at the start of the season. To protect yourself against theft, security experts such as Alexander Sarellas and Jakob Lindner recommend a GPS tracker in addition to the standard security devices.
“A GPS tracker gives bikers more security and a good feeling of being able to leave the motorcycle unattended,” say the two founders of PAJ GPS . The company has been selling smart positioning systems for various areas of application since 2011. Motorcyclists are one of the groups that will benefit most from technology.
GPS enables reliable positioning in real time. Drivers can track the location of their machine anytime, anywhere via an app or browser. This means that motorcycle thieves can be found quickly and the machine can be safely recovered, even worldwide. “Reliability and comprehensive data protection of sensitive position data are of great importance when choosing the right GPS tracker,” says GPS expert Lindner. The global GPS network makes it easier to find the machine across all national borders.
(Worry-)free travel thanks to GPS
In order to react quickly in an emergency, modern GPS trackers offer intuitive alarm systems. Location expert Sarellas recommends bikers use a “digital fence” to set up their machines. The system then automatically alerts the owner if the motorcycle leaves the designated safety area. Push notifications on your smartphone or via email call for quick action in an emergency. Additional alarm functions warn of vandalism or vibrations and thus prevent theft.
Top models also offer additional functions such as route storage. Thanks to the simple “location sharing” function, a GPS tracker becomes a savior in the event of accidents in unknown regions. GPS trackers increase the safety of people and machines and provide worry-free driving pleasure.

Calimoto is becoming increasingly popular in the biker scene worldwide and is already the number 1 app for motorcyclists in Europe when it comes to tour planning and navigation. Thanks to constant development, technical stability and future-oriented vision, it has become a valued companion on motorcycle tours. But that is not how it remains.
calimoto is entering into a cooperation with the manufacturer Digades, which has over 30 years of experience in electronics development and production, and its Tilsberk brand, thereby taking a big step towards the future. From now on, calimoto users can have the navigation instructions displayed directly in their helmet via the Tilsberk Head-Up Display.
“With calimoto we are paving the way into a new era of navigation. We are proud to be able to do this together,” says Sascha Berger, Managing Director of Tilsberk.
This innovative collaboration not only offers a real replacement for the smartphone or classic navigation device on the handlebars: it also immensely increases driving safety by displaying it in the field of vision!
Tim Berger, founder of Tilsberk, also sees it this way: “Finally there is a real and safe alternative to navigation devices on the handlebars.”
The display of turn-by-turn directions directly in the helmet also means a completely new and futuristic driving experience for the calimoto user, which has previously often only been known from fictional science fiction productions in Hollywood.
“By integrating calimoto into the Tilsberk head-up display, we are creating a new level of user experience for our users. All important information about navigation and the tour is displayed directly in your field of vision, so you can concentrate even more on what's important: the route, the landscape and the curves. At the same time, we also increase safety and the coolness factor is not neglected either,” reports Sebastian Dambeck, co-founder and CEO of calimoto, enthusiastically.
Tilsberk also offers an exclusive price advantage of 50 EUR discount for calimoto premium users on the head-up display. All new calimoto users automatically receive a voucher code when purchasing a Tilsberk HUD to test calimoto Premium for free for four weeks.

Both companies are bringing a breath of fresh air to the world of motorcycle navigation just in time for the start of the 2023 season, in order to get even more out of all of our hobbies and ensure unforgettable moments.

The shortest tour is 79 kilometers and the longest is almost 400 kilometers. More tours will be added gradually. Each tour is provided with a detailed description, elevation profile and an overview of the most important sights along the route. A navigation function - to the starting point of the tour and along the route - is also included. And as a new feature, it is now also possible to record your own tours.
The accident helper is not only useful for motorcycle and vintage car enthusiasts. Immediately after a traffic accident, quick and correct action is required, but many road users often do not know what to do in an emergency. This is where the app helps in concrete terms: from securing the scene of an accident to making the right emergency call to dealing with injured people and first aid measures, users are guided through step-by-step instructions. The app also offers functions that allow you to call the emergency number directly, call the police or contact DEKRA for a damage report.

The rising temperatures are attracting more and more bikers onto the streets. A motorcycle dash cam ensures more safety on the road and also documents the most beautiful tours.
“Bikers need to pay particular attention to their safety this year. Because, like every spring, many drivers “forgot” over the winter that they would be sharing the road with motorcyclists again at the beginning of spring,” says Łukasz Tetkowski, CEE & DACH Country Marketing Manager Mitac Europe. “In spring 2022, the Corona measures with lockdown and home office have led to less driving routine.”
Dashcams document dangerous situations
To make the journey as safe as possible, it is advisable to equip the motorcycle with a dashcam that records dangerous situations. A device that documents the view both to the front and to the rear is ideal, such as: E.g. the Mio MiVue™ M760D with integrated rear camera. The device films in Full HD quality, has a super bright lens with F1.6 aperture and an excellent 130° viewing angle. This means it also records important details on the side of the road, such as cars pulling out of a parking space or driveway and not recognizing the motorcyclist in time.
With the built-in GPS module, the time and location of an incident can be precisely located. Thanks to the innovative Mio™ Night Vision Pro technology, recorded images are bright and clear even in low light conditions. And with the integrated WiFi function, bikers can save the videos on their smartphone and share them on social media.
Two-wheel camera is coming
This year Mio will bring another dashcam onto the market: the Mio MiVue™ M700 can be used not only by motorcyclists, but also by cyclists. This camera records videos in Full HD 1080P quality at 60 frames per second. The recordings are captured in 2K/1440p quality with a viewing angle of 140° so that every detail is captured while driving. Thanks to the metal housing and tempered glass, this camera is also waterproof to IP67 and can cope with a wide range of weather conditions.
“With the dash cams for two-wheeler drivers, we want to make a contribution to outdoor adventure and offer the opportunity to record tours and capture dangerous situations. This year we plan to introduce the M40 rear view camera for motorcycles. It can be connected to the Mio MiVue™ M700. Thanks to the high-quality STARVIS sensor with a large aperture (F1.6), this camera clearly captures what is happening behind a motorcycle, moped or e-bike,” explains Łukasz Tetkowski.
Relaxed start to the season
Your own safety and the safety of other road users depend, among other things, on how the motorcycle is prepared for the season. Especially at the start of the season, bikers should take enough time when riding - the journey is the destination!

Just in time for the start of the season, the No. 1 motorcycle app will be taken to a new level visually and technically
Potsdam – The calimoto app has been on the market since May 2016 and is an integral part of the world of innovative solutions for tour planning and motorcycle navigation. Her vision is to make every tour an experience. Therefore, the application has constantly developed over the last 6 years and adapted to the needs of its users - both technically and visually.
Calimoto is planning many more functions and services for the future in order to build a holistic platform for the hobby of motorcycling . An essential part of this is user feedback, which calimoto always takes to heart and always incorporates into feature planning. In order to continue to offer the best possible user experience in the future, the app was completely overhauled for the new season.
Self-explanatory, easy to use and even more user-friendly.
When it comes to the structure and appearance, the designers at calimoto placed full focus on intuitive usability. This was based on the current app standards without losing the core of the app.
The technical framework was also completely renovated. Many more functions are being planned that need to be sensibly integrated into the app. This renovation created the basis for all future developments.
“I am convinced that with the revised version of calimoto we are giving our users an even better product to plan and experience their motorcycle tours,” says co-founder Hans Allenfort. “However, it is also a very exciting phase for us. With this update we are taking a big step towards the future and is the biggest change to our app that we have ever implemented.”
During the revision, all existing functions are retained, ensuring the usual range of functions for all calimoto users, with many detailed improvements creating a completely new user experience.
