Harley-Davidson turns 115 years old – this is celebrated • Events, parties and biker fetes from Sylt to Mallorca
(Neu-Isenburg, January 29, 2018) In the years after 1900, when motorization was still in its infancy, motorcycle manufacturers mushroomed. While US providers such as California, Marsh and Yale have long since been forgotten, many other brands celebrated an astonishing resurrection years after their financial exit when clever investors remembered the former euphony of their name.
Magic Bike Rüdesheim kicks off from May 31st to June 3rd , with one hot live act after the other in the heart of the motorcycle paradise and UNESCO World Heritage Middle Rhine Valley. On the second weekend in June, Harley fans are spoiled for choice: While some are drawn to the sunny Golfe de Saint-Tropez, where the Simple Minds rock the HOG Euro Festival , others enjoy the incomparable charm of Germany's number one island of longing Summertime Party , Sylt. The Benelux HOG Rally in La Roche-en-Ardenne, Belgium and the kick-off event for the 2018 edition of the Charity Tour Austria will also take place at the same time. From June 22nd to 24th, Europe's largest biker city event will start for the 15th time: on the 40,000 square meter site at the wholesale market and with a perfect view of the Hanseatic city's landmarks, the Hamburg Harley Days people to the north of Germany.
Two weeks later the Harley community celebrates in Prague . From July 5th to 8th, not just any party will take place there, but “the” official European party for Harley-Davidson's 115th birthday. Thousands of bikes will make the asphalt of the Czech capital vibrate. The motomobile community in Saxony is meeting for the second time - from August 3rd to 5th at the Dresden Harley Days . Thanks to its radiant beauty, the state capital is worth a visit in itself and the Saxon Elbland will remind bikers strikingly of Tuscany.
The spectacular industrial backdrop of the LWL Industrial Museum Henrichshütte in Hattingen, where the Harley Meeting Ruhrpott will take place on August 5th, exudes a completely different charm. The 2018 edition of the Charity Tour Austria starts from August 10th to 15th. And while the entourage of chrome and steel rolls through the Alpine republic for a good cause, the Harley Rock 'n' Race place on August 11th and 12th in Bad Tölz, Upper Bavaria. Nomen est omen: Blues, rockabilly and rock 'n' roll will hit your feet straight away. If you want to be there in the USA when the company celebrates its birthday, you should mark the weekend from August 29th to September 2nd.
Celebrating in Milwaukee, the hometown of Harley-Davidson, promises to be an unforgettable experience for V-Twin fans. European Bike Week concludes the series of 2018 events on our continent. With good reason, Faak is now known to Harley riders worldwide. If you don't go here, it's simply your own fault. And after that is vinegar with motorcycling? No, not quite, because there are still SKS trips. The Westerwald two-wheeler professionals, a partner of Harley-Davidson Germany GmbH for years, are extending the season in October with the Rick's Mountain Run in sunny Catalonia and in November with the popular Mallorca Bike Week. Both events are designed as an “all-round, worry-free package” including motorcycle transport, just like the Algarve Run, which SKS Reisen offers in June. One thing is certain: everyone will undoubtedly find what they are looking for in this extensive event portfolio!
