(Neu-Isenburg, 19.01.2017) Harley-Davidson is a „magical brand“ - at least according to Dr. Kai-Uwe Hellmann, sociologist at TU Berlin. „The term magic,“ explains the scientist, „comes from ethnology. It's about ritual gatherings that evoke a special sense of community. This is also cultivated and felt by Harley riders.“ That's right: Probably no other brand connects people more than
Harley-Davidson. If you want to experience it for yourself, simply visit one of the numerous events under the sign of the Bar and Shield logo, which will be celebrated around the globe again in 2017. The deep connection of the Harley community across all social classes is what makes the brand so special and so strong.

It all kicks off in spring - with the H.O.G. Euro Festival (hogeuropegallery.com), which opens the season in the best Mediterranean climate from May 11 to 14 in Grimaud, France, on the legendary Golfe de St. Tropez. This will be followed by celebrations in the cathedral city of Cologne - surrounded by the motorcycling paradises of Bergisches Land and the Eifel. The Harley Dome Cologne (harleydomecologne.de) will be held here on May 20 and 21 directly on the banks of the Rhine.

From June 2 to 4, the Harley community will first be drawn to the Benelux H.O.G. Rally (www.beneluxhogrally.com) in the city of sparkling stones, Antwerp, and a week later to dunes, beaches and waves, more precisely to Westerland on the island of Sylt, where the Summertime Party (sylt-chapter.beepworld.de) will take place for the 20th time from June 9 to 11. In Austria, the kick-off for the 2017 edition of the Charity Fund fundraising marathon will take place on June 10 and 11 (harley-charity-tour.at). The following weekend - from June 15 to 18 - the Unesco World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley, a true two-wheeler paradise along Germany's longest river, will form the heavenly backdrop for the Magic Bike Rüdesheim (magic-bike-ruedesheim.com). The Motor Company has already celebrated 14 times in Hamburg (www.hamburgharleydays.de). In 2017, the major event in the friendly „free and Harley city“ is on the agenda from June 23 to 25. The company invites you to the Swiss canton of Ticino from June 29 to July 2, when the Swiss Motorcycle Festival takes place in Mediterranean Lugano. Harley Days (www.swiss-harley-days.ch), which this year also functions as the European H.O.G. Rally (www.hogeuropegallery.com). A Harley Party will be held in the capital of the Free State of Saxony for the first time in 2017:

Die Dresden Harley Days (dresdenharleydays.de) am ersten Augustwochende. Rund um die barock anmutende Metropole findet man jede Menge Asphalt für die artgerechte Haltung von Zweirädern. Da, wo die Geschichte von Eisen und Stahl lebendig wird, am LWL Industriemuseum Henrichshütte in Hattingen, trifft man sich am 6. August beim Harley-Davidson Meeting Ruhrpott (harley-meeting-ruhrpott.de). Der Erlös der mehrtägigen Harley Charity Tour Österreich (harley-charity-tour.at), die vom 10. bis 15. August in der Alpenrepublik durchgeführt wird, kommt Kindern zugute, die an unheilbaren neuromuskulären Erkrankungen leiden. Ehrlicher Rock, ein cooles Rahmenprogramm und eine herrliche Umgebung zum Biken erwarten den Besucher am 12. und 13. August bei Rock ’n’ Race (harley-rocknrace.de) in Bad Tölz. Neu im Eventkalender ist das American Motodrom Festival (americanmotodromfestival.com), das vom 18. bis 20. August mit zwei- und vierrädrigen US-Ikonen den Hockenheimring erbeben lässt. Den krönenden Abschluss der Saison bildet vom 5. bis 10. September die European Bike Week (www.europeanbikeweek.com). Der Event, den seine Fans einfach nur „Faak“ nennen, ist ein einziger Superlativ, den keiner verpassen darf.

Allen, die auch zwei Monate später noch Sonne tanken und trockenen Asphalt unter die Räder nehmen wollen, empfiehlt Harley-Davidson die Mallorca Bike Week (sks-reisen.de), die Motorradreisespezialist SKS-Reisen organisiert. Genauso beeindruckend sind die beiden anderen Rundum-sorglos-Pakete dieses Anbie¬ters: der Algarve Run im April und die Sardinien Bike Week im Mai.
