The movie “The Bikeriders” based on Danny Lyons documentary photo book from 1968 about a motorcycle club in Chicago. Director and screenwriter Jeff Nichols was inspired by this photo book. The leading roles are played by Jodie Comer, Austin Butler and Tom Hardy. The film features numerous classic Harley-Davidson motorcycles.

The machine ridden by Tom Hardy in the movie inspired the design of the Hydra-Glide Revival, a 2024 model in the Icons Motorcycle Collection. This limited edition model is reminiscent of the original Hydra-Glide models, which were introduced 75 years ago and were equipped with a telescopic fork. The current model is technically modern and has a special paint finish in Redline Red and Birch White, similar to the 1956 model that Tom Hardy rides in the movie.

Austin Butler's motorcycle, an early Electra Glide, is a forerunner of the current Touring Models. The distinctive 45° V-twin engine and the design of the tank, headlight and mudguards show the continuity in Harley-Davidson design that has evolved over the years and is reflected in the modern models. The movie tells the story of a fictional motorcycle club in 1960s Chicago. Benny's (Austin Butler) and Kathy's (Jodie Comer) relationship is put to the test as Benny has sworn allegiance to both club boss Johnny (Tom Hardy) and his wife Kathy. As the motorcycle club gets bigger and more dangerous, Benny must choose between his loyalty to Johnny and his love for Kathy.
