HARLEY-DAVIDSON CELEBRATED THE HAMBURG HARLEY DAYS WITH 55,000 VISITORS
Bikers, motorcycle fans and friends of the Harley-Davidson brand experienced a very special long weekend
FRANKFURT (July 2nd, 2024) - From June 28th to 30th, Hamburg experienced a mega party weekend and enthusiastic V-Twin fans who made the pilgrimage to Germany's north in droves. Around 55,000 visitors populated the 40,000 square meter area at the wholesale market halls on the three days of the event, where the organizers had a lot to offer them.
Of course, we rode motorcycles - both on our own and on the tours organized by the Harley Owners Group (HOG), which led, among other things, through the Lüneburg Heath and into the Altes Land. In addition, the latest HD models were not only available to touch, but also for extensive test drives.
Off-road professional Ralf Wiesenfeller taught visitors numerous tricks - such as how to right a tipped-over bike - and right next door, people without a driving license were able to get a first impression of riding a Harley-Davidson on the authentic Jumpstart driving simulator.
Since music is an inseparable part of the Harley lifestyle, 19 hot bands rocked the two stages. The headliners on the Harley Stage were the acclaimed formations H-Blockx, Motörizer, Jimmy Cornett and the Deadmen and Back:n:Black, whose sound was all powerful. Rock Antenne Hamburg ensured that all the highlights were presented on the big screen every day.
At the Custombike Show powered by Metzeler, a category was created specifically for Softail models with Evolution engines. Since this popular series is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2024, in addition to customers, several authorized dealers also brought their impressive classics with them. One of the winners of the show, co-organized by the HOG, who received cash and non-cash prizes, was Sandor K. from Northern Germany, who won the Best of Show title worth 1,000 euros with his machine.
The smell of grilled food wafted into the guests' noses not only from the numerous caterers' stands - after all, the second Hamburg State Grill Championship and the grilling for the Block House Cup took place on the new BBQ court. Also new was the event area, where the Hamburg TattooDays took place. Here, visitors were able to get inspiration for body jewelry and also get a tattoo on site.
Two stuntmen, the professionals Maciej DOP Bielicki and Chris Lietsch, provided an extra dose of thrill in their shows. On the other hand, the numerous stands and tents of the authorized dealers and traders, which were lined up along Main Street, where bikes and bikers strolled day and night, invited people to relax and shop.
The visitors said goodbye to their hosts on Sunday with a large motorcycle parade organized by the HOG. And they are guaranteed to return to the beautiful Hanseatic city next year, when the Hamburg Harley Days 2025 will be celebrated from June 27th to 29th.
