THE HARLEY MEETING AT FAAKER SEE 2020
The Harley Meeting 2020 at Lake Faak , which isn't actually a meeting, because the European Bike Week 2020 was officially canceled by Harley-Davidson . The health risks for visitors at such a mass event were considered to be too great.
A look at Sturgis might have proven the whole thing right.
I arrived at Lake Faak on Thursday with my friend Hermann because we wanted to go somewhere this year and spontaneously decided to do a few tours here.
As expected, the large event area is empty, only the one pub that is located directly on the event area is busy.
Down at Arneitz there is a party under the roof, but here too there are no stands on the other side, there is a parking lot there. Harleys are constantly driving up here, so there's a bit of movement.
There are a lot of machines driving around everywhere here, the authorities talk about 10,000 bikes. You can see them in Villach and especially in Velden .
There is more going on in Velden, but as we have already reported in advance, only a few exhibitors are on site. Velden has the advantage that there is a lot of restaurants right on the street, as well as the casino, which, as always, attracted many visitors. From 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., masks are required on streets in Velden.
This year the focus is clearly on driving and exploring the area, which is what we will do.
