The Intermot motorcycle trade fair 2022 in Cologne
From 6.10.2022 to 09.10.2022, the Intermot motorcycle trade fair will take place again in Cologne after a four-year break. You can tell that the industry has suffered a lot in recent years - many of the big players are on site, but the small and medium-sized companies seem to shy away from the costs or simply lack the staff. The motorcycle fair takes place in three large halls, with various activities planned in the outdoor area.
Harley-Davidson will not be there this year, but there will be several other well-known manufacturers from the accessories sector. Kellermann is showing its current range of LED indicators, Öhlins suspension systems, ABUS security locks, Sportcaravan has its current prototype Cube 2 and the largest model, the Cube 5. Wunderlich has equipped a Pan America Standard with parts from the current Pan America product range. I would have thought that they would show a little more from this area.
Garage 21 Verlag (Custombike and DreamMachines) organized the bike show and brought in over 80 bikes. There are some really beautiful bikes here. The Harley Factory exhibited the Clubwire, the first Harley-Davidson electric motorcycle in the Clubstyle version. If you have a broad interest in motorcycles, a visit to the Intermot is worthwhile, because there are of course many more exhibitors than mentioned here, the real Harley enthusiast should not expect too much, but you can still enjoy visiting the fair. I found the prices in the restaurant at the trade fair a bit steep, they are generally a bit higher at a trade fair, but I was still a bit surprised.
