Family Business
Three decades ago, the motorcycle shipping company SKS was founded.
Mogendorf, April 10, 2025 – How time flies! It was back in 1995 when passionate biker Adrian Kießling developed the first version of his special racks for transporting motorcycles and, together with his motorcycle-loving wife, Annette Schröder-Kießling, entered the freight forwarding business – specializing in two-wheelers with powerful engines.
SKS, Schröder-Kießling Spedition, located halfway between Frankfurt and Cologne, grew and prospered magnificently. Today, 30 years later, freight forwarding is one of many business areas in which the Westerwald-based company is active—albeit a central one.

Under the motto „We transport passion,“ SKS transports around 85,000 motorcycles from A to B every year – punctually, reliably, and without damage. This is handled by around 120 highly trained employees, most of whom are motorcyclists themselves. They have 30 trucks equipped with GPS tracking and forklifts at their disposal for this purpose. For special trips, there are also small vans and trailers, and for events, a show truck with a stylish US tractor unit.
The company premises cover an area of around 290,000 m² and include a high-bay warehouse with around 25,000 pallet spaces.,
50,000 m² of warehouse space and a complete logistics park. A new, additional SKS commercial and industrial park is currently under construction.
Harley-Davidson, KTM, and Triumph are among the many companies that place their trust in SKS—and with good reason, because the Rhineland-Palatinate-based company puts its heart and soul into its work, and only those who bring this enthusiasm to the table can deliver top performance. But its loyal clientele is by no means limited to importers and manufacturers; end consumers are also among SKS's satisfied customers – whether they need their motorcycle transported to Frankfurt, Faak, or Florence.

For two decades, the Westerwald-based company has also been offering organized motorcycle tours with an all-inclusive package – such as the Mallorca Bike Week organized by SKS-Reisen. The participants' motorcycles are, of course, transported to the venue by the company's own trucks, where an exclusive hotel, a packed program, and fantastic motorcycle routes await them. Travel expert Kim Hummerich, née Kießling, has developed this branch of the business into one of the most renowned operators in the segment. Her brother Kevin has been the managing partner of SKS-World since 2014. It goes without saying that Kim and Kevin are also enthusiastic motorcyclists!
The next generation has now taken over the helm at the Mogendorf headquarters. But one thing has never changed in three decades: SKS's unconditional promise of quality. If you want to find out more, visit the company's website at www.sks-world.de.
