The summer collection of Harley-Davidson MotorClothes is here
On June 21st, the sun is vertically above the tropic and the days are longest - finally summer! In keeping with this happy event, Harley-Davidson is already presenting the MotorClothes Summer Collection 2012. It proves that high functionality, long-lasting quality and a classic, cool look are by no means mutually exclusive.
Perforations, ventilation openings and mesh ensure that bikers stay cool even when it gets hot. Airy, light textiles, attractive colors and casual, timeless cuts create the look that fans appreciate, even when they're not on the bike.
New is the Contention Mesh Jacket (D.: from €137; A.: from €139), a men's textile jacket with leather inserts that always ensures a balanced temperature thanks to its large perforations and mesh lining. Separate pockets hold cooling packs, while the protector pockets provide additional security.
This safety feature also characterizes the new Sprocket Leather Jacket (D.: from €592; A.: from €597) with removable lining, which also has reflective inserts and perforated leather on the front, back and on the sleeves .
Anyone who appreciates this look but prefers a lighter textile jacket will choose the new Dust Storm Switchback Functional Jacket (D.: from 436 euros; A.: from 440 euros) with a removable, waterproof inner vest, which is characterized by: Removing the textile outer parts turns it into a particularly wind-permeable mesh jacket.
Bright white gives several women's jackets a summery touch this season. This includes the college-style Josie 3-in-1 Mesh Jacket (D.: from €200; A.: from €201), which also allows maximum air circulation thanks to its mesh structure and with the removable Windproof and separately wearable long-sleeved hoodie ensures extra warmth when needed.
Protector pockets are available as well as pockets for cool packs.
Patches and embroidery create a strong retro look.
The perfect gloves for the jacket are called Josie Full-Finger Mesh and Leather Gloves (D.: from €69; A.: from €70) and complement the style perfectly.
One of the many women's shirts that play with a sunny shade of yellow this season is the short-sleeved Plaid Woven Shirt (D.: from €80; A.: from €81) made of 100 percent cotton with a snap-button front, patches and embroidery .
