Theft at the Hamburg Harley Days 2019

On Sunday afternoon, a Harley-Davidson Heritage Custom was stolen from outside the Stintfang accommodation near the fish market. In the photo on the left, the owner from Nuremberg can still be seen taking part in the parade. In the picture on the right, the suspected perpetrator is rolling away on the custom bike with just a cap on his head and the machine.

According to current information, it is the only Harley-Davidson that was stolen this weekend, according to the Hamburg police. The owner from Nuremberg was also very surprised as to why his bike, which had been converted with his heart, was stolen when there are 25,000 others riding around the city.

The paint set is unique!

A Harley-Davidson built in 2002 was stolen. The bike has been continuously modified over the years and was last fitted with the unique paint kit from the USA in 2016. The frame is from the Fat Boy and the fender, saddle and side bags are from the Harley-Davidson Softail Heritage Deluxe.

The unmistakable paint kit was specially made in the USA and brought to Germany. Ape handlebars, fishtail exhaust system etc.

The crime scene

The Harley-Davidson was stolen on Sunday afternoon near the St. Pauli Landungsbrücken.

The thief rolled off the premises on the machine.

It is striking that the thief was not filmed when he entered the yard of the accommodation. The Harley was secured with the steering wheel lock, which he must have picked. With an APE handlebar as a lever, not exactly an easy task if no other tools were used.

It is assumed that the machine was loaded directly onto a trailer or transporter in Seewartenstraße. The street is close to the jetties.
