It's finally happening! Bike Days Willingen kicks off this weekend!
Thursday is already off to a relaxed start, with many bikes already in town and the sound of them approaching throughout the day. That very special feeling in Willingen is beginning now!
At Sauerland Stern, everyone is excited about the event and the bikers, as you can see right away when you check in at reception. The large banner is impossible to miss, and the whole place is branded with Bike Days, which is a very special feeling when you see everyone arriving.

This year's star guest is Paul Teutul Sr., who flew in from the USA especially for Bike Days Willingen with his wife and Alex, who is also a singer with the Brüder4Brother project.
An exciting weekend awaits us in Willingen. If you still need a few destinations, I have put together a list of some options.
Harleysite on the road in and around Willingen – POIs around Bike Days 2025
Bike Days Willingen 2025 will take place from July 10 to 13. Anyone familiar with Willingen knows that the region has a lot to offer beyond the event itself. I took a look around in advance and will show you a few places you should keep in mind for the weekend—little tips that can be perfectly combined with a tour or a stopover.
POI 1 – Willingen Skywalk
The opening act takes you straight to the big stage. At 665 meters, the Skywalk is the longest suspended skywalk in Europe. 100 meters above the ground, with a view of the event grounds—a striking spot that should not be missed.

POI 2 – Itterbach Manor
A short distance from Willingen, you will find yourself at the Itterbach estate. A tranquil location, a stylish venue, and exquisite cuisine. Perfect if you want to escape the hustle and bustle for a while—or simply enjoy a pleasant meal.
POI 3 – Curioseum Willingen
Things the world doesn't need – and that's exactly why you should go there. The Curioseum is a collection of curiosities, stylistic inconsistencies, and old finds. If you really want to experience Willingen, you should stop by here too.

POI 4 – Count Stolberg Hut
Located above Willingen. Beautiful views, good food, relaxed atmosphere. The hut is an ideal place to take a breather. If the mood strikes, there is sometimes live music here. A good spot for a longer stop.
POI 5 – Alm village Winterberg
A detour to Winterberg is well worth it—the route there is definitely worth it. The Dorf Alm serves hearty dishes, but my favorite is definitely the Kaiserschmarren with coffee. A classic for a break during the tour.

POI 6 – Willingen Alpine Pasture Village
Right in town, in the heart of the action. The Dorf Alm in Willingen is bike-friendly, uncomplicated, and also offers the famous Kaiserschmarren—plus hearty cuisine if you're in the mood for something substantial. Just right for a break in the middle of it all.

Hotel tip – Mountain View Hotel Willingen
If you are still looking for accommodation, you should check out the Mountain View Hotel. It is in a quiet location, yet close to the event site, and is part of the Best Western chain. Signature Collection – which stands for a certain standard that you notice.
Modern rooms, good facilities, attentive staff, and fair prices. Definitely recommended for cyclists who appreciate a little extra comfort.

Wolf was on the road
Willingen is more than just an event—and that's exactly what makes Bike Days here so special. Whether you're just strolling around the event grounds, riding a few beautiful routes through the Sauerland region, or taking a detour to visit one of these places—it's worth taking the time to experience the area. In any case, I'm continuing on my way—POI 7 is already in the works.
The next Bike Days Willingen will take place from July 9 to 12, 2026.
