Gimme that
Big Thunderbike charity open-air festival on August 1st with The BossHoss for the finale of this year’s “Motorcycle Fundraiser”
(Siegen, April 13, 2015) The future viability of numerous German hospitals is threatened by chronic underfunding, because the financing system with its per-case flat rates hardly provides any funds for many therapies. The DRK Children's Hospital Siegen has also been increasingly suffering from massive cost pressure in recent years. “But every effort is worth it to maintain proven health care,” says Arnd Dickel, spokesman and marketing manager for the clinic, which looks after small and large patients far beyond the district borders.
In order to be able to maintain the quality of medical care in the future, Dickel came up with the “motorcycle fundraising campaign”, which is already entering its second round this year. And this is how it works: Anyone who makes a donation of at least 5 euros to the clinic will be included in the draw when valuable prizes will be drawn on August 1, 2015 - most notably a Harley-Davidson Street Bob. It is worth around 39,000 euros because it was pimped according to every trick in the book for a good cause by the custom world champion Thunderbike, Harley-Davidson Niederrhein.
Now the Thunderbikers and the DRK Children's Clinic Siegen have let another cat out of the bag: The Berlin band The BossHoss is the sponsor of this year's “Motorcycle Fundraiser”. Singer and guitarist Sascha “Hoss Power” Vollmer will personally draw the winning ticket for Fat Bob – of course as part of a live gig by his band on the Lower Rhine: The BossHoss will be taking to the Thunderbike open-air stage on the evening of August 1st as part of a big charity concert rock in Hamminkeln. The Berlin rock'n'rollers Viper Sniper and The Picturebooks, who have just returned from their world tour, ring in the charity festival with their gigs at the Thunderbike site at Güterstraße 5.
20 percent of the ticket proceeds go to the DRK Children's Clinic Siegen, and of course all visitors can also donate to the Children's Clinic Siegen on site in order to take part in the Street Bob raffle. Tickets for the Thunderbike Charity Open Air Festival are available from Thunderbike Harley-Davidson Niederrhein (www.thunderbike.de), while stocks last.
