Suggested tour for Harley Days Dresden
Tour 1 - along the Elbe
We start at the Harley Days Dresden event site and leave it to the right into Alleenstraße. At the traffic lights with the stadium on the right, we turn left and then immediately right again up onto the Marienbrücke bridge.
Turning slightly right, we follow the main road past the historic Neustadt train station, always in the direction of the airport and the highway. Of course, we do not take the highway itself, but continue straight on through the underpass to the crossroads, where the signs for Meißen are on the left.

More InformationWe follow the S81 bypass and after 3 km we turn right towards Moritzburg. Moritzburg Castle is the first highlight of the day. You can park in the large parking lot directly in front of it and have a wonderful view of the fairytale castle from „Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella“, the most famous Christmas fairytale was filmed here.
We then turn left directly in front of the castle and follow the wooded asphalt road to the first set of traffic lights. Turn right at the inn and head towards Großenhain. Watch out, there are some pretty cool and fast bends ahead if you don't have a sleeping driver in front of you.
In Großenhain, we turn right towards Elsterwerda and continue to the Zabeltitz junction, where we can visit the baroque garden, but don't have to. The following stretch in the direction of Nünchritz/Riesa takes us through wonderful countryside with few houses, lots of bends and great views over wide meadows and fields.
The onward journey towards Nünchritz is currently disrupted by a detour, but we follow it carefully and are soon on the right road. And now it's getting nice again. We simply follow the road to Meißen, along the Elbe, along the vineyards on the Elbe and into the famous porcelain town of Meißen. In between, you can take a break in the picturesque wine village of Diesbar-Seusslitz in a street café or even visit one or two wineries.
At the end of the partly narrow road along the Elbe, we turn right onto the Elbe bridge, cross the river and turn right twice at the bridgehead. We are now on the B6 in the direction of Dresden. At the end of the town you will see the legendary ice cream bus. Keep your eyes open, this is the ice cream tip of the day. Located on the left-hand side with a perfect parking space for your bike.
We continue along the B6 to the next large bridge over the Elbe, which is strongly reminiscent of a well-known bridge in Hamburg. There we cross the Elbe again in the direction of Coswig and Meissen.
Turn right at the bridgehead and a few minutes later, turning right, we see the magnificent vineyards of Schloss Wackerbarth, the royal Saxon state winery, in front of us. We recommend another stop here, this place is very beautiful and invites you to linger.
And then our tour is almost over. We follow Meißner Straße and the railroad tracks into the city of Dresden, turn right once, see the magnificent building of the former YEDNICE tobacco factory in front of us and are back at the event area just in time for our final drink.
We hope you like this route too. Please let us know what you think.
