Three great guide tours with the Alpe-Adria Chapter for the European Bike Week 2021
For info! You can find these new tours for 2022 in the new post!
The Alpe-Adria Chapter from Carinthia is offering three guided, beautiful tours equipped with safety equipment for the European Bike Week 2021. If you would like to take part, you must register on the chapter website www.alpeadriachapter.com under EBW Tours.
For those who have not yet taken part in such tours, the following information is available: The offer is free and open to everyone, meaning you don't have to be a chapter member. The organizers are all about the joy of riding and meeting other bikers.
Of course, the Alpe-Adria Chapter would be happy if they received a tip into their club coffers for their efforts in leading the tour. After all, it's a lot of work to plan these tours, leave in advance and offer them with an accompanying person. You should also be familiar with staggered group driving and know what tasks the road captain, the safeties and the goalkeeper have. If not, let the Road Captain give you a few tips in advance.
Registration for the tours is done using the online form on the website. ( External link )
The meeting point for all three tours is at 9:30 a.m. at the Arneitz site, on Seeufer Landstrasse in Faak am See. The tours start at 10:00 a.m. A lunch together and a fuel stop are also organized so that the Sporties don't run out of juice on the way.
The tours from the Alpe-Adria Chapter to the European Bike Week
A 230-kilometer tour starts on Wednesday, September 8th, 2021. It lasts approx. 7 hours with breaks.
TOUR 1 – Bearded Man Tour FULLY BOOKED
The first tour starts on Wednesday, September 8th, 2021 from the Arneitz grounds at 10:00 a.m. You should arrive by 9:30 a.m. Of course, your Harley is already full of fuel, as it should be before the tour. The exciting route leads to the Italian border town of Tarvisio and from there through nature into the Slovenian part of the tour. The fantastic natural scenery is worth seeing, the view is often dizzying. But don't worry: the entire route is easy to navigate even for inexperienced drivers, and the speed is also constantly adjusted. The experienced safeties with the orange high-visibility jackets and the tour's taillight ensure that no one is left behind.
TOUR 2 – Visiting Friends 2021 FULLY BOOKED
The second tour starts on Thursday, September 9th, 2021 from the Arneitz grounds, also at 10:00 a.m. This tour also includes a stop for lunch. Tour 2 lasts approximately 7 hours and is 230 kilometers long. This tour is a new edition of the legendary “Visiting Friends” tour series, which has been causing a stir for several years. The Alpe Adria Chapter Director chooses very special, partly unknown roads that even experienced Carinthian bikers are not familiar with. He also always has a good hand when it comes to choosing restaurants for lunch. Fun and a nice memory are guaranteed.
TOUR 3 – Carinthian Outback Tour 2021 FULLY BOOKED
The third tour starts on Friday, September 10th, 2021 from the Arneitz site, also at 10:00 a.m. at a known location. Tour 3 is planned to last 5 hours and is around 190 kilometers long. At first this tour should have been the “Hallelujah Tour” – it goes past the well-known pilgrimage site and the cathedral in Gurk. Due to the beautiful surroundings, it became the “outback tour”. Participants can expect a mixture of long, wide country roads and small, winding climbs and valleys. Nothing that Harley-loving bikers couldn't do.
If you haven't been to Faaker See yet, pay attention to the following: the Arneitz area is not the area where Harley-Davidson has its tents, but a place further away where the Arneitz camping is also located. Address: Seeufer Landesstrasse 53 – 9583 Arneitz Austria
