Traffic controls with a focus on motorcycles at Pentecost - some violations involving cars and motorcyclists
Thuringia: On Whit Sunday, motorway police forces, with the support of colleagues from the riot police and the Thuringian police training center, checked Whitsun traffic on the A 9 in the direction of Munich and Berlin.

During checks between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., officers stopped 49 vehicles. Including 18 cars and 31 motorcycles. For the majority of road users, there were no complaints about the drivers' ability to drive or the road safety of the vehicles being driven. But there were also conspicuous motor vehicles.
Including a team consisting of a Mercedes car, the wheels of which led to the vehicle's track being widened and thus resulted in the operating license being extinguished. A caravan that was ready for scrap was attached to this Mercedes. Its main inspection had been over for 1 ½ years, the braking devices were defective and the trailer tow mechanism was defective because it was bent.

The owner of the vehicle combination will now receive a fine with a demand for payment of several hundred euros and at least two points in the driving fitness register. The operating license for the caravan had also expired. The driver organized a breakdown service, at least for his Mercedes car, which provided him with legally compliant wheels for his car and installed them so that he could continue his journey without a trailer.

Harley-Davidson driver removed from traffic at the checkpoint in the direction of Berlin He had bought his motorcycle three days ago and was on his way to Berlin to a specialist workshop. The officials at the educational center discovered that certain modifications such as the air filter, footrest system, handlebars and the license plate holder were not compliant. The motorcycle was also too loud. The driver did not have the registration documents with him. A fine was levied against him and he was given permission to take his Harley to the specialist workshop and have the vehicle approved by the TÜV with the corresponding changes.
