TÜV Süd presents Harley-Davidson Stuttgart with the Service Quality Award
- Outstanding performance in the main inspections
- No defects in the last 300 tests
(Neu-Isenburg, September 20, 2017) On Friday, September 15, the champagne corks popped at Harley-Davidson Stuttgart: TÜV Süd had just presented the authorized dealer from Baden-Württemberg's capital city with one of its coveted „Service Quality Awards“.
The prize is awarded to TÜV Süd workshop partners where the mobile expert teams carry out general inspections and where the customer vehicles have the fewest defects. The Stuttgart Harley-Davidson dealership must have bored the inspectors to tears over the past twelve months, because within a complete year there was absolutely nothing to complain about on the customer vehicles. Three hundred bikes in a row received the sticker without any problems during this period.
A total of five automotive businesses were honored by TÜV Süd this year, Harley-Davidson Stuttgart is the only motorcycle dealer among them - and came in first place in the overall ranking together with two car dealerships. „We are very happy about the award,“ commented Jan Stengl from the Stuttgart Harley dealership. „This award shows what a good job our workshop team does day after day. We will do everything in our power to maintain our zero-percent error rate for the MOT of our customer bikes in the future.“
Up to 25 bikes per TÜV day are inspected at the US motorcycle manufacturer's Stuttgart agency. Not only does the many years of cooperation with the experienced inspectors pay off, but also the good preparation of the bikes, which are all thoroughly checked in the workshop before their main inspection.
Jan Stengl accepted the award on behalf of the entire 18-strong Harley team at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt am Main. Together with his 39-year-old colleague Jan Löll, the 41-year-old is the designated successor at Harley-Davidson Stuttgart. „What a start for our designated successors!“, says a delighted Gerd Maier, who founded the company together with Fred Pistor in 1985 and has managed it together with him ever since. „The two youngsters have really proved that they have what it takes.“
