Uwe Seitz becomes managing director at IVM Germany
Fabian Dresler to take over as editor-in-chief of the MOTORRAD Group in January 2026
Stuttgart, September 16, 2025 – Uwe Seitz, editor-in-chief of Europe's largest motorcycle media brand, is taking on a significant new role at his own request following the successful repositioning and digital transformation of the motorcycle division at Motor Presse Stuttgart.
The 55-year-old will become managing director of the German Motorcycle Industry Association at the beginning of 2026. Fabian Dresler (33), currently in a management position in the testing department and a key figure in shaping the MOTORRAD Group's transformation process, will succeed Uwe Seitz.
In his new role as editor-in-chief, Fabian Dresler will continue along the path forged by Uwe Seitz in the motorcycle sector and drive forward the strategic collaboration with the motorcycle marketplace 1000PS, in which Motor Presse Stuttgart has held a majority stake since 2008.
„Uwe Seitz is an outstanding personality and a great journalist who, in the past
For many years, he has very successfully promoted the future vision of the MOTORRAD brand in print and digital media. We wish him every success in his new role and will remain on friendly terms with him,“ says Motor Presse Managing Director Kay Labinsky.
„I would like to express my sincere thanks to Uwe Seitz for his excellent cooperation—without him, the successful repositioning of the MOTORRAD Group would not have been possible. “Stefan Karcher, Board Member and Head of Publishing: „I am convinced that in Fabian Dresler we have found an editor-in-chief who will continue our „Ride the Future“ course in the motorcycle sector and set new accents in our multimedia strategy.“
