The legendary Harley-Davidson Euro Festival returns to Grimaud, Saint-Tropez from May 8th to 11th, 2025 !
Music, custom bikes and Côte d'Azur flair
A special highlight has already been announced: On Saturday evening, the internationally acclaimed British artist Rag'n'Bone Man rock the stage with his unique mix of blues, soul and urban sounds. 🎤🎶 The singer is really a cool guy, most people will know his songs, or at least have heard them before, I would like to say.
The idyllic backdrop of the Côte d'Azur and the slightly different custom bike style than we know here make it really interesting. The incomparable atmosphere puts the Euro Festival on my road map this year. Additional artists and program items will be announced in the coming weeks.
Custom bike show in Grimaud – an absolute highlight
A special highlight of the Euro Festival is the custom bike show in the picturesque town of Grimaud . On the historic market square, surrounded by beautiful old buildings, some of the most impressive conversions that you can imagine.
Exceptional Harleys from France, Italy, Spain and other neighboring countries meet here. The variety of styles and attention to detail make the custom bike show a real eye-catcher. From artistic airbrush paintings to technical masterpieces to creative designs-there is something to discover for everyone.
The atmosphere in Grimaud is something very special. The combination of the impressive bikes, the historical backdrop, invited cafés and the relaxed atmosphere ensures that the custom bike show becomes one of the very special part of the festival that should have been seen.
Arrival from Germany to Saint-Tropez-tips for the way
The journey to the Euro Festival in Saint-Tropez is a little journey in itself, but it is worth it in every respect. I myself often drove with a stopover via Lyon - a route that proves to be useful for many.
At this time of year, the weather in the northern regions of France, especially near the mountains, can still be quite fresh. So remember to dress weatherproof, because on the motorcycle it can get quite cold in the morning and evening. However, as soon as you leave the mountains behind and drive towards Côte d'Azur, the weather usually changes suddenly. The temperatures rise and the warm Mediterranean air ensures real holiday feeling.
Tips for motorcyclists: toll, rules and equipment in France
Many prefer to tackle the trip relaxed and to take a night in cities like Lyon on the way. So there is enough time to enjoy the journey and best get in the mood for the upcoming festival with friends. On the highway, some must also be due for motorcycles, not always, you have to pay attention to the respective signs.
If you travel to Saint-Tropez by motorcycle, you should familiarize yourself with the traffic rules and requirements in France in advance. Here are a few important information:
Helmet and gloves
• In France, helmet for the driver and passenger. The helmet must have an ECE-22-05 certificate. Check whether your helmet is marked accordingly.
• Gloves are also mandatory. You must be CE certified. If you drive without, you risk a fine.
• A warning vest (in bright colors) is also mandatory for equipment. This does not have to be worn while driving, but be at hand - e.g. B. in the luggage or jacket pocket. Association bags should of course be quickly tangible in the luggage.
Tays on highways
• Most motorways in France are subject to toll and motorcycles pay a reduced tariff (category 5).
• There are often their traces of motorcycles on the toll stations that make it easier to process.
• Tip: Get a Télépéage transponder for motorcycles (e.g. from Fulli , or BIP & GO) in advance. This allows you to pass the toll stations faster without getting cash or cards. The transponder works, which should be specially available for motorcycles, I will try it myself, also in the following countries: France / Spain / Portugal / Italy
Speed limits
• urban: 50 km/h • outside: 80 km/h (on country roads) • express roads: 110 km/h • motorways: 130 km/h (when rain 110 km/h) • Note that France imposed sensitive fines in the event of speed .
Alcohol limit
• The alcohol boundary is 0.5 per thousand . A stricter limit of 0.2 per thousand .
Driving behavior
• In France, it is common for motorcyclists to thank you for overtaking maneuvers or narrow points with a short leg sign - a nice gesture that is well received.
• The overtaking of columns (filtering) has been legal on motorways since 2021, but only under certain conditions (max. 50 km/h and on marked sections). However, there are probably changes in favor of motorcyclists.
Refuel
• Petrol stations on highways are well equipped, but more expensive. You can find cheaper prices away from the highways. Make sure that many smaller petrol stations in rural areas often only work with a card.
Special features on the Côte d'Azur
The streets around Saint-Tropez are usually in good condition, but at the festival time it can get full on the main roads in the village. So plan a little more time and use smaller side streets to avoid traffic.
The journey may take a little longer, but at the latest when the sun opens over the Côte d'Azur and you may still drive the coastal streets for a trip to Monaco, you know that the way was worth it. It is an event that you should have participated in at least once!

The party is not a bargain; in St. Tropez they usually offer visitors a great music program, which makes things a little more expensive. It's just another facet of different Harley-Davidson meetings that are offered to us worldwide!
Event tickets from €129 for Friday and Saturday (HOG members €105) or just €147 for all three days (HOG members €117).
