Around 100,000 celebrated the Harley-Davidson European Bike Week 2010 in Faak
In 2010, the European Bike Week – simply called “Faak” by fans – underlined that it is much more than “the” major European biker event at the end of the motorcycle season. “Faak” are people and faces, women and men, old and young, who come together every year to celebrate. “Faak” is alpine nature, strong music and the sound of around 75,000 V-Twins.
“Faak” is a feeling! Around 100,000 people enjoyed this pure Harley feeling on the party mile around the lake from September 7th to 12th, 2010, despite the initially rainy weather. They met in the heart of the event, the Harley Village in Faak am See, enjoyed 28 artists and live bands rocking out on the large open air stage and in the tents, put their foot down and had the ultimate fun.{mosgoogle}
People fortified themselves at 20 catering stands and in the three large tents. 20 authorized Harley-Davidson dealers from Austria, Germany, Italy and the Baltic states presented their products and bikes.
The new Harleys for 2011 were a topic of conversation not only in the expo tent, where they were displayed alongside new accessories and clothing products, but you could also test drive them for free! More than 40 independent dealers offered everything your heart could desire in the trader area, from scarves to motorcycle jackets.
Well-known motorcycle refiners such as Thunderbike/Harley-Davidson Niederrhein and numerous others provided a high-class customizer area, where the much-admired custom bike show took place on Saturday as part of the elimination of the “official AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building”.
And because a “lake tour” is too short, even with a number of festival stops, to be considered a proper motorcycle tour, you can explore the beautiful surrounding area with fascinating Alpine views on your own, on one of the three guided tours or during the big parade that takes place on Saturday over 25,000 machines meandered around Lake Ossiacher and Lake Faak. {mosgoogle}
The bikes rolled through Carinthia for around three hours to the delight of the population. It's logical that the many guests want to experience this incomparable “Faak feeling” again next year, and it's a matter of honor that Harley-Davidson fulfills their wish. The European Bike Week 2011 takes place from September 6th to 11th.
