Model upgrade at Buell for 2009

For the 2009 model year, the brand from East Troy, Wisconsin, is bringing a completely new motorcycle onto the road with the 1125CR: the contemporary interpretation of the classic café racer for the 21st century - in the style of Buell, of course.

The other types receive a comprehensive model update. The technical modifications that benefit all Buell XB motorcycles include the even more durable and resilient secondary timing belt, which has been used for the 1125R since the 2008 model year.

Powered by the 148 hp, liquid-cooled
1,125 cc Helicon V2, this bike has a gear indicator in the cockpit and now has an even more powerful alternator. Not only will it be available in Midnight Black, Buell now also offers the 1125R in Arctic White and Racing Red with contrasting wheels and fairings. The frame and swingarm as well as footrest holders and heel protectors will now be finished in black. The swing arm also has practical pivot points for a repair stand.

In 2009, three Lightning models with air-cooled Thunderstorm V-Twins will be available in this country:

The Lightning Long XB12Ss and the Lightning Low XB12Scg with 1203 cm³ as well as the Lightning CityX XB9SX with a 984 cm³ engine. Lightning Long and Lightning Low are now equipped with the Buell ZTL2 front brake with eight-piston caliper. The Lightning Long also receives new chassis components at the front and rear. Like the Lightning CityX, it also benefits from a new, optimized seat. All Lightning models now have an even more aggressive look: the engine, frame, swingarm and fork are among the many components that will be coated black in the future. Despite even better features, all Lightnings will be offered at even more attractive prices in the future.

A lot changes with the fast bikes from East Troy, and yet everything remains different than the others - typical Buell!
