From 03.-05. In July, the first Wings & Wheels Festival will take place at the airfield in Heist near Uetersen, just outside Hamburg. The engine noises of motorcycle, car and classic aircraft engines will merge on 90,000 square meters over the weekend and there will be a supporting program for the whole family. As the name suggests, it is an open-brand Drive and Fly Inn festival for all types of bikes, cars and planes. Owners of classic cars, tuning and US cars as well as bikers can exhibit their vehicles in various areas.
In addition to various US car clubs, Victory and Indian, various vintage car clubs and owners of various unusual bikes as well as flying clubs have announced that they will take off and land there during the festival. Some highlights are likely to be the Red Bull RC flying squadron, some biplanes such as an Antonov.
In addition to the vehicles, a varied music program and a dealer mile provide variety. Dragster demonstrations, a simulated ¼ mile as well as vehicle evaluations in various categories, parachute tandem jumps, sightseeing flights and vehicle presentations as well as aerobatics round off the festival, for which well-known airbrushers, custom bike builders and car tuners have already registered.
There will also be a charity campaign for which Klaus Meine and Rudolf Schenker, Smudo and Lotto King Karl, among others, have signed a guitar that will be auctioned off for seriously ill children. Further information at: wingsnwheels.de
