Gasoline meets kerosene

The second Wings & Wheels meeting will take place from July 29th to 31st, 2016 at the Heist/Uetersen airfield, just outside Hamburg. The sound of motorcycle, car and classic aircraft engines will merge across 90,000 square meters, and an extensive supporting program will round off the event for the whole family. As the name suggests, it is an open-brand “Drive and Fly In” for all types of bikes, cars and airplanes. Owners of vintage, tuning and US cars as well as bikers can exhibit their vehicles in the extensive area. In addition to various US car clubs, motorcycle dealers and customizers, vintage car clubs of various brands and owners of various unusual bikes have already announced their participation. Well-known airbrushers, custom bike builders and car tuners show their skills and their works.

Anyone who then lets their gaze wander over the airfield and the blue sky can enjoy exotic aircraft and spectacular air shows. The brave visitor can actively take part in helicopter flights, parachute tandem jumps, sightseeing flights and aerobatic flights. Throughout the event, various aircraft take off and land at the airfield, from private Cessnas to historic military aircraft.

Accompanied by a diverse music program, the visitor strolls through the dealer mile, past dragster demonstrations, a simulated ¼ mile race track and is amazed at daring stunt demonstrations on the action areas and in the air. Tribute will also be paid to the good cause; there will be a charity campaign for “Make-A-Wish Deutschland eV”. They have set themselves the task of fulfilling a heartfelt wish for sick children.
