The International Edersee Meeting will take place from June 26th to 29th

Hemfurth-Edersee is a district of Edertal in Hesse.

The place is located on the dam of the Ederstausee. 870 people live here and once a year they are visited by thousands of motorcycle fans.

The Edersee Meeting is the name of the meeting sponsored by Harley-Davidson Kassel. In 2014 it will take place from June 26th to 29th.

For the sixteenth time, bike and music fans from all over Europe will flock to the event for a weekend full of entertainment and action. No wonder, after all, the event has numerous highlights.

And the wild nature around Germany's second largest reservoir impresses with a variety of attractive motorcycle routes.

Motorcycle, party and music fans will find their Eldorado on the event site not far from the mighty dam. Guided excursions and an extensive dealer mile with clothing, accessories and equipment ensure a big grin on the guests' faces.

In the big bike contest, there is excitement when choosing the most beautiful motorcycles , hot dance shows guarantee tingling moments and the stunt show with “Globe of Speed” offers pure thrills.

One of the highlights is once again the big parade , in which the motorcycles even drive over the Edersee barrier wall, cheered by the population.

In the evening you can relax around the romantic campfire, storm the bar of the rustic biker bar “Zündstoff” or sway to the strong pop, rock and blues sound of 12 live bands in the XXL festival tent: The top act this year is the American formation “Tito and Tarantula”, who became known for her appearance in the 1996 film “From Dusk Till Dawn”.

You can then lay your tired head down either in the large campground, which has been integrated into the event area, or in one of the numerous nearby hotels.

Traditionally, it doesn't matter whether you travel to the Edersee meeting on a Harley , a Hercules or a men's bike - all two-wheeled fans are warmly welcome and will have fun from early in the morning until late at night. As is usual with this event, the mega program will also be available in 2014 at extremely fair prices. The day ticket costs 10 euros.

If you also want to use the campground, you pay 20 euros for one day, 25 euros for two days and 30 euros for the entire event. Admission is free on Sundays and children under 14 are allowed onto the grounds for free when accompanied by their parents.
