The International Edersee Meeting takes place from June 26 to 29
Hemfurth-Edersee is a district of Edertal in Hesse.
The village lies on the dam wall of the Eder reservoir. 870 people live here and once a year they are visited by thousands of motorcycle fans.
Edersee-Meeting is the name of the meeting sponsored by Harley-Davidson Kassel. In 2014, it will take place from June 26 to 29.
For the sixteenth time, bike and music fans from all over Europe will flock here to experience a weekend full of entertainment and action. No wonder, as the event is packed with numerous highlights.
And the wild nature around Germany's second largest reservoir scores with a variety of attractive motorcycle routes.
Motorcycle, party and music fans will find their Eldorado on the event site not far from the mighty dam wall. Guided rides and an extensive dealer mile with clothing, accessories and accessories put a big grin on the faces of the guests.
In the big bike contest, the choice of the most beautiful motorcycles is exciting, hot dance shows guarantee tingling moments and the stunt show with „Globe of Speed“ offers pure thrills.
One of the highlights is once again the big parade, during which the motorcycles - cheered on by the local population - even ride over the Edersee barrier wall.
In the evening, you can relax by the romantic campfire, storm the bar of the rustic biker pub „Zündstoff“ or sway in the XXL festival tent to the strong pop, rock and blues sound of 12 live bands: This year's top act is the American band „Tito and Tarantula“, who became famous in 1996 through their appearance in the movie „From Dusk Till Dawn“.
Afterwards, you can rest your weary head either on the large campground that has been integrated into the event site or in one of the many nearby hotels.
Traditionally, it doesn't matter whether you come to the Edersee Meeting on a Harley, a Hercules or a men's bike - all two-wheeler fans are welcome and will have fun from early morning until late at night. As you would expect from this event, the 2014 mega program will also be held at extremely fair prices. The day ticket costs 10 euros.
If you also want to use the campground, you pay 20 euros for one day, 25 euros for two days and 30 euros for the entire event. Admission is free on Sunday and children under the age of 14 can enter the grounds for free if accompanied by their parents.
