Five episodes show Joan Pedrero's spectacular fight on the Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250

FRANKFURT (03/11/2024) – Once again, Dakar professional Joan Pedrero made history at the beginning of the year when he finished the 15th edition of the Africa Eco Race on a Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250, the first HD adventure touring bike. The Spaniard took first place in the Maxitrail category and 25th place overall – on a standard motorcycle. Only small modifications were made to the radiator - due to the extreme desert conditions.

Now Harley-Davidson presents a new web series that follows Joan on his Harley during the Africa Eco Race. HD fans can now enjoy the impressive video clips of the fantastic racing action at HD.de/ecorace.

In five episodes, the new series follows Joan over around 6,000 kilometers from Monaco to Lac Rose near Dakar in Senegal. You can experience the performance of the Pan America 1250 as well as the spirit of adventure that both the bike and its rider perfectly embody and which is considered an important part of the US manufacturer's DNA.

The series also gives viewers a look behind the scenes of the racing action - for example when it comes to Joan's preparations for the international off-road endurance rally or the performance of the Pan America 1250 in the unforgiving sand of Western Sahara.

Since starting in the Dakar Rally was not possible due to the regulations, Harley-Davidson decided at last year's European Bike Week to compete in the Africa Eco Race, which took place from December 30, 2023 to January 14, 2024. A more than worthy replacement, because the tough competition was designed as a successor to the Dakar Rally, which has been relocated to South America and Saudi Arabia since 2009, and Joan Pedrero's participation impressively demonstrated the power and reliability of the Pan America 1250.
