Five episodes show Joan Pedrero's spectacular fight on the Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250
FRANKFURT (11.03.2024) - Once again, Dakar pro Joan Pedrero made history at the beginning of the year when he won the 15th edition of the Africa Eco Race on a Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250, the first H-D Adventure Touring Bike. The Spaniard took first place in the Maxitrail category and 25th place overall - on a standard motorcycle. Only minor modifications were made to the radiator - due to the extreme desert conditions.
Now Harley-Davidson is presenting a new web series featuring Joan at the Africa Eco Race on his Harley accompanied. H-D fans can now enjoy the impressive video clips of the magnificent racing action at H-D.de/ecorace.
In five episodes, the new series follows Joan on around 6,000 kilometers from Monaco to Lac Rose near Dakar in Senegal. The performance of the Pan America 1250 and the spirit of adventure, which both the bike and its rider embody perfectly and which is an important part of the US manufacturer's DNA, are brought to life.
The series also gives viewers a look behind the scenes of the racing action - for example, when it comes to Joan's preparations for the international off-road endurance rally or the performance of the Pan America 1250 in the unforgiving sands of the Western Sahara.
As it was not possible to compete in the Dakar Rally due to the regulations, Harley-Davidson decided to compete in last year's European Bike Week, to compete in the Africa Eco Race, which took place from December 30, 2023 to January 14, 2024. A more than worthy replacement, as the tough competition was conceived as the successor to the Dakar Rally, which has been relocated to South America and Saudi Arabia since 2009, and Joan Pedrero's participation impressively demonstrated the power and reliability of the Pan America 1250.
The Motor Company is certain that the daring Spaniard will continue to exceed all expectations and impressively demonstrate what the American adventure car can do. Touring bike is capable of. Anyone who wants to cheer Joan on in the 2024 Africa Eco Race can call the World Wide Web H-D.de/ecorace on.
