KING OF CUSTOM – SPRING MEETING IN AUGUSTFEHN
The spring meeting will take place in Augustfehn from April 15th - 16th, 2023.
First of all, a little summary for the clueless, of which I was one until last year. Somewhere on the flat land in the municipality of Apen, which belongs to Lower Saxony, once a year everything is different to what you are used to in this town of 3,000 inhabitants.
Then it's the time when Börjes calls for the biker community's spring meeting. It's hard to believe that the biker community is really big, with thousands of motorcycles to the brand-specific event. The main road is even converted into a motorcycle parking lot and anyone who wants to go to Aldi or EDEKA then takes a detour through the town.
The fact that something like this is still possible today requires a really understanding community that is willing to support the event. In addition to test drives from the various manufacturers, where Harley-Davidson will also be there, there will be an extensive entertainment program.

The entertainment program includes the “Wall of Death” and stunt shows, but the exhibitors are also somehow part of the program, especially if there is a wide selection. KessTech , you will also find Kellermann, which every biker should know. You have your current LED lighting program with you. Wilbers chassis are at the start, they offer high-quality and individual chassis, there is a wide range of Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
Of course, the tuning center shouldn't be missed; for €50 you can have the performance of your bike checked on the DynoJet test bench. The rest in brief: Important! KING OF CUSTOM
The custom bike contest by bikers from the region who have converted their motorcycles of all brands from the series to their own taste and budget.
Where the participating custom bikes will be exhibited!
The custom bikes will be exhibited indoors in the underground car park of the Harley-Davidson workshop. The entrance is via the stairwell or via the ramp from outside.
Choosing the King of Custom? You have the opportunity to actively participate in the election of the King of Custom 2023 and put ONE ballot paper with your personal number 1 In addition, a critical jury will keep an eye on the bikes and contribute to the evaluation with 50% of the vote.
Jury members are: Rüdiger Knief (Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde) Jens Koch (BMW Freese), Keno Veith (De schwatten Ostfreesenjung) and Noah Wilbers (Wilbers Products). Every voting slip (available when issued) takes part in a raffle. You can win a voucher worth 100.00 euros that can be redeemed at the Börjes group of companies. > So it's worth it.
Timing and award ceremony and prizes?
The winner of the King of Custom Contest receives a King of Custom signet ring worth approximately 500.00 euros in recognition of their achievement and for proud presentation to the community. The top 3 King of Custom Bikes and their riders will also receive VIP invitations to the Wheels & Wake Festival at the Beach Club in Nethen from September 7th to 10th, 2023. The top 3 bikes can be presented there on stage with Helge Thomsen.
The jury will begin its assessment on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. The counting of votes will take place on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. The award ceremony for the winner of the King of Custom competition will take place on Sunday at around 4:45 p.m. on the stage near the marquee.
