WESTERLAND (04/05/2023) - It is Germany's dream island: Sylt , 99 square kilometers of North Frisia between wind and waves, with huge dunes and a wide horizon - a magical place with a very special charm.
It's almost that time again: Harley-Davidson fans are celebrating on Sylt, because the 24th Summertime Party is taking place from June 1st to 4th to mark the 120th anniversary of America's most traditional motorcycle manufacturer. Numerous guests are repeat offenders, irreparably succumbing to the cool atmosphere of the event and the casual ambience of an island that is best explored by motorbike .
You arrive earlier, because on Tuesday, May 30th, the event organizers - Harley-Davidson Fashion Sylt and the Sylt Chapter of the Harley Owners Group - will give the unofficial starting signal for the event: There will be a huge one at Elisabethstrasse 3 in Westerland Marzipan cake with the HD logo is cut and all fans of the US brand are invited to coffee, cake and family chat about 120 years of motorcycle production.
Things really get going on Thursday, June 1st. The opening event for the event takes place in the evening at the Provokant club at Strandstraße 3-5, which has been shaking up Westerland's nightlife since 2022 . On Friday, June 2nd, shopping is the order of the day at Harley-Davidson Fashion Sylt on Elisabethstrasse - and once again Westerland's shopping mile will be transformed into a paradisiacal biker main street. In the evening, the traditional biker party takes place in the Congress Center Sylt with a rich buffet and DJ. This year, the live gig will be taken over by Tin Lizzy, probably the most successful cover band in northern Germany, who shines with their rock, pop and party classics with a lot of enthusiasm, closeness to the audience and charisma.
On Saturday, June 3rd, the first bikes will line up for the parade on the Westerland Promenade at 9 a.m. - a shiny chrome show right by the sea, accompanied by the sound of the live band Little Country Gentlemen. Three hours later the starting signal is fired and the steel wyvern sets off to discover the island highlights. Of course, the stops include the fine scampi from the “fish pope” Gosch and a final drink in Wenningstedt.

The participation fee for the Summertime Party is 90 euros per person. This includes entry to the biker party including pin and buffet as well as various food vouchers for the parade stops.
